Help - Leaves curling up

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me whats causing the leaves to curl up on my plant as shown on attached pics, and also if it is anything to worry about.

The plant is 13 days old.

I am using West Advanced Plus Soil with pre-loaded nutrients.

I am veging under a 200w envirlite (cfl)

the light is about 6 inches from the top of the plant, i did have it about 3 inch but moved it up as i suspected the light was causing heat stress hence the leaves curling up.

I am watering about once every 2-3 days, i use a moisture meter so i know i havnt over or under watered.

Temps are around 80, have a fan blowing all the time aswell.

I grew the same strain last time and the leaves were fine under more a less identical conditions.

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

looks like heat stress but could be the beginning of a magnesium deficeincy, add some epsom salts to your next watering

i haven't started using nutes yet as the soil is supposed to have enough nutes to last 5 weeks, do you thing i should start with the nutes now?

This is the 1st time i have used this soil, never had problems before so im guessing the problems with soil, although i was pretty sure it was heat stress.

will try the epsom salts and give it another week or so, see if it gets any better, although the new growth doesnt seem to be affected as much, since i have raised the light.

Thanks for the advice :blsmoke:

then it was probably heat issues but it wont hurt anything to add some epsom salts i use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water
