I believe thats a form of rosecomb, which typically occurs if the mycelium or mushrooms are exposed to petroleum products, lysol etc. I have seen some wicked rosecomb where the gills were inside out and looked like a mouth from a guy spraying lysol around his tubs once. Pretty interesting...
