I am using Fertilome "Ultimate potting soil" that has perlite, and I added a small amount of vermiculite. They are about 2 weeks old now. My 400w HPS was over 2 ft away from them until today though so hopefully they will grow a bit faster now

Thanks. Since i made a thread - how do my leafs look? Any signs of anything bad? And Should i feed w fertilizer right after I top just to kick start growth?

I like it.. Rolls off the tongue :) I topped this one early because my other two are still small and trying to catch up. My first grow BTW and it is special kush #1 from Royal Seeds I will update with photos on the recovery.

In the very first picture of uncle bens thread, there is a topped plant with two new shoots on either side. Are these shoots on the plant before topping and need to be avoided while cutting? Or do the tops come out regardless of how much growth you cut?
