5000k is the temperature of the light on the Kelvin scale. During veg, higher K temperatures are needed for faster growth BUT what's confusing is, the higher the temperature, the COOLER the light color. So your blues are higher on the scale, but cooler to the eye. Red light is cooler on the...

Yeah thankfully I have central HVAC so if I keep the temperature on this floor around 68-71 the cabinet stays around 80 with lights on and 70-75 without.

watched a video of this last night. In the video there was no pump or tubing, but that coil type system sounds like it'd work well.

hey thats cool and pretty cheap. How do you cool/vent it? Do you use that + other single cfl bulbs? that sounds like it'd be ideal

fuck gnats and yeah doesn't seem too hard. I have basic electrical wiring knowledge. I'm tired of hanging separate bulb clusters and bulbs all over, fixed bulb system that I can move up and down mounted to something sounds way better. Something like this maybe.

Yeah I was looking for higher wattage ones but the highest I could find was 42 with the 4 or 2 pin bulbs. I found fixtures for them for 3-5 bucks on amazon. I'd rather just get some t5s i dunno.
