new growth has a little yellowing and growth is a little slower

I kick in a pretty low nutrient dosage after the first week for mine when growing in coco. Take a look at the fertilizer website, they generally have a feeding chart. I wouldn't go full strength but it sounds like they are ready for some fertilizer.

    Exhaust fan question

You don't need to have it on all the time. The reason you exhaust it is to keep the temperatures in the zone you want, and to keep fresh air (co2) available for the plants. If you have supplemental co2 and a way to control the temperature you don't even need to exhaust the air.

    Trouble cooling 4 1000watt hps!

Growing in hell makes sense, but in reality it should just be 16,000 btu of heat coming from the 4 lights. I think ttystikk could likely be right, are your AC units vented to the outside? 2.3 Tons of cooling should have no problem in a sealed room with 4 lights, a dehumidifier and a few other...

    Is 3 feet wide enough?

Definitely, I know from personal experience that the setups can be fairly loud. There are lots of forms where people are worried about their neighbors hearing, so that says a lot. Having an LED light setup will help quite a lot however! I don't know a lot about LED lights, but that should be way...

    How much longer to go?

That is a really nice looking plant. Do you have a pocket loupe? I like using a 30-50x loupe to see how the trichomes are coming along. For my own plants I find it a lot easier to time the harvest by checking what percent are clear/ cloudy. Just guessing by the photos I would say three weeks...

    Mh lamp

If you have too many males, you could always clone off the females you do have. They would be ready to flower at the same time... they would just be considerably smaller. They look like nice healthy plants though!

    Is 3 feet wide enough?

Thinking only about whether you could grow in a 12' x 3' area, I would say the answer is yes. You probably don't want to use 1,000 watt lamps because they would either have to be close and burn the plants or throw lots of light onto the wall. Look at the footprints of the 600 and 400 to find the...

    Trichrome maturing question

Every strain reacts differently to light, but it doesn't take much little light to mess with their photo period. I imagine if the room has enough light for you to move around in and watch TV it's probably more light than they should have at night. At the same time, I don't know that it would...

    Mh lamp

If you have no number of plant limit where you are then I would go with a sea of green. Generally I see 1 plant per square foot as the recommendation for flowering, so for you that would be 25. This produces smaller buds, but also more weight over the year, since you can start flowering clones...

    Question

I think Trich is giving you good advice. I like to keep the vents that are built in for ventilation open because they have filters built in and the other holes that are not in use blocked off. When you are in your 12/12 cycle you will not want all those light leaks, and you might as well get the...

    Trouble cooling 4 1000watt hps!

That graph is located on the Under Current website. Here is a direct link: http://cch2o.com/general-recommendations/ It's definitely a nice chart to have!

    Trouble cooling 4 1000watt hps!

From what I have read 86 is an acceptable temperature if you have CO2 enrichment during the vegetative stage, but I don't think you would want to carry that all the way through flowering. Below is a general recommendation for a DWC setup, and as the graph shows, they like to start with the...

Brownish hairs in main stem early? Halp!

Hey, I know nothing about brown hairs meaning that it is going to hermie but I do now that the most common reason for it to do so is stress. Usually I hear that is from not having a pure 12/12 light cycle. That could be from opening the tent at night or from lights shining on it if it's outside...

new growth has a little yellowing and growth is a little slower

Tell us a little more about the plant. How long has it been growing? Is it still in the vegetative state? My understanding is that you can fix a nitrogen deficiency in the vegetative state, but you really want to leave it alone once it is flowering. Later on in the life cycle it is normal for...

    Leaves Turning Black?

bbyb420: That was my original thought, but I have not seen any other Liberty hazes that have this color. Have you experienced this at all on the ones you are growing? *Buds: I will try to catch them before the lights kick on. Its nearly impossible to see the colors of the leaf once the HPS...

    Water Consumption by Plants

I am putting together a greenhouse grow plan and I am having lots of trouble solving my water problems. I am hoping there are some people here with the answers! Due to state laws, I cannot use well water unless I have water rights, so I will only be using rainwater until I can get those...

    Leaves Turning Black?

[/IMG] Hey there, I have been reading posts on this site for about a year and was finally spurred to create an account when my plants had a problem I couldn't identify. My setup was 4 plants being grown in coco, with drip irrigation and Botanicare nutes with an EC of 1.6 and a PH of 5.7. Two...
