whats up fellow RIU-ers just bought a 250w Sunsystem 5 HPS light off of ebay lastnight..its also compatible with 250w mh bulbs.. has anyone used this system before or owns it? From what ive heard sunsystem makes some pretty good stuff.. any feedback from other 250 watt growers would be...

nvirgo....grab some miracle grow organic or scotts potting soil organic..very low npk ratio with no added ferts..do not buy somethuin with time release as it will burn your seedlings pretty bad..also..beware even if u order soil from someone reputable..if you order the wrong kind it can aslo...

i think imma win a 250 watt hps off of ebay..apparently it says it also accepts MH bulbs of the same wattage..should be pretty diesel.. anyone know anything about this sunsystem 5 250 hps/mh any opinions on strains.. its a closet space...i want something with decent flowering time 7-8...

dankbuds..u should start off wit a different soil.. FFOF has mad nutrients in it in time release..itl contribute to problems later on if you mix the liquid nutes in too early

i used m.g organic to start out with..it retains quite alot of water..i use all perlite now.. but you can get that at homedepot/lowes for like 5 bucks per 8qt bag..aint rele that expensive..mix that in with your soil to give it some aeration and itl help neutralize the p.h level in your soil

clowdy..i kinda have small grow op like yours...buy 3 cliplamps..u can get em at homedepot..there 6 bucks a piece..what it is is the fixture with the reflector thingy on em for like construction and whatnot..grab a few of those and a bunch of 100w equiv CFLs daylight spectrum..like...

if you have other clones at your disposal, i'd take another clone and start off fresh. for future reference..the way you flush..you need the amount of water that is 3 times your pot size..example.. you have a 1 gallon pot..flush it with 3 gal water so all the nutes and other stuff in teh soil...

i agree with bugs..looks like a mg deficiency..dolomite lime sprinkled on the soil will help.. even if the water is phed..if ur getting it from the tap it could be chlorine burning the leaves

if you are growing in a soilless medium in a pot and not hydro why dont u try just using 100 percent perlite in your pot.. thats what the hempy grows are based on..i jus did that for 3 plants i had to separate in 3qt containers with 100 percent perlite..check it out..its worth it because...

What up guys..i set up a nice closet grow about a month ago,..everyone has been extremely helpful on here..about a week ago plants had some type of deficiency so i transplated em to perlite and pruned the burnt leaves off..i think it was from chlorine in tapwater..check out the pics of the 3...

ive heard aquarium drops work to get rid of chlorine and other trace substances..but that wont affect your p.h level much..try changing out your water or gettin some r/o water ..p/h the spring water you get and the tap and figure out whats causing the increase to isolate the problem, then work...
