After trying for 7 years to find some way to have a successful outdoor crop, I finally admitted defeat. The cove I live in is just a bit too Smokey, even for the Smokies to avoid rot. Hell, between the deer and plagues of voracious insects, even my vegetable garden has been suffering.

I've had one of the 50 pint units for about 5 years now. I only do an annual grow for about 5 months, but it has been flawless since day 1.

I would hold off on a divider. The seedling will acclimate to the increased light level and then take off. I've had to replace a plant in a grow that was almost 4 weeks old. The replacement, although smaller, did just fine.

Agreed with the majority. 4 months of 12/12 is my max on anything. From a lost resources perspective, clear the space and try another set of genetics.

Agreed with TC. When I've grown Sativa dominant hybrids, I've had to wait for 12-13 weeks before they were done. I also agree with the nugs packing some density during that period. Be Patient...

I've made cages made from 2" square wire fencing. I just roll it into a cylinder and place it around the plant. I then weave the branches through the mesh so that there aren't long sections of stem that are unsupported. Much better yield and reduces risk of wind damage...

I hang whole plants in my unused bathroom shower. I like to take the large fan leaves off, but leave the rest. A small fan for air circulation and I always have very good results.

I feel your pain. I live in the N GA mountains, and I've always struggled with weather. One of the major negatives growing outdoors.

Led's grow better when leaf temps are in the low 80's. I use a 480w QB clone fixture in my 4x4 for quite a few grows over the years. The lamp you suggested is a bit of overkill for a 4x4 If you're using soil or coco, I wouldn't worry much about the temps, but hydroponics would need a chiller to...

Nothing major for this summer. I've got a pair of auto's that I just transplanted out in the hoop house. Hopefully, I won't have a repeat of last year-bud rot destroyed all 3 girls.

Just from an efficacy viewpoint, using both boards should produce more umoles than a single one when both systems are at the same power level.

I'm quite happy with the 3500K 80CRI rig I run.

I've been running Jacks 3-2-1 for 3 years now, and it has been flawless for me. I use it in my RDWC system with ZERO ph drift as well as my outdoor projects.

Your fixture is capable of generating a shit-ton of photons. I'm in the same situation in my main grow, so monitoring and adjusting light intensity will be pretty important. Seedlings need very little light at first, so once you get at least a few new nodes popping I'd slowly ramp up intensity...
