    How to Use Agsil?

So I bought Agsil to buffer my RO water while getting the benefit of the silica. Here is what happened when I tried making a gallon of mixed water. 1. First I added only the Agsil to the RO water at .7 grams dry which put the ph up to 10.2 2. According to a post I read by Aquaman I then...

Thanks so much. I will use the rates next watering. I thought a 1/2 tsp Agsil per gallon seemed high.

    Agsil and CalMag ppm Confusion

So I have searched alot of posts regarding the correct Agsil and CalMag doses per gallon of RO water but see some conflicts with what I am supposed to set each at. I read on buil a soil website that the dosage for Agsil dry is 1/2 tsp per gallon but when I do my base water ppm is 300+. Is this...

    Potassium bicarbonate or Potassium silica?

I think Agsil sounds like what I would be looking for. Build a soil says to use 1.5 grams per gallon to buffer RO water. An off topic question. If I add RO water buffered with Agsil would I still need to add calmag if it is going into supersoil that already has Dolomite and epsom salt in it?

    Potassium bicarbonate or Potassium silica?

Thank you for the replies. I find the silicate interesting but have definitely come across numerous warnings about overuse.

Yellow leaves 4 weeks into veg each grow

I am pretty much thinking the same thing although I thought a potassium lockout. I am treating for both mag and potassium. Sure hoping one of them works. Just got a 100 gal RO system setup so won't be using the well water for growing anymore.

Yellow leaves 4 weeks into veg each grow

Definitely feel safe to rule out nitrogen deficiency. Leaves don't turn ALL yellowing including the veins and they aren't dropping off the plant.

Yellow leaves 4 weeks into veg each grow

I removed the bottom leaves when they got shaded out by the canopy.

Yellow leaves 4 weeks into veg each grow

There really isn't any bottom leaves left. Just the canopy in.the scrog screen so I guess the bottom and top are the same leaves.

Yellow leaves 4 weeks into veg each grow

I have had yellowing leaves last grow and the current one. Always happens around week 4 of scrog veg. I have been growing the same way in vic high supersoil for 20+ years without ever a problem. The only thing that has changed is I moved and went from city water to well water. I checked the...

How to mix RO water with potassium bicarbonate and calmag

No I don't know the make up of the water ppm. I just used a tds meter to get the ppm reading. Whatever is wrong it has caused a nute lockout in the two grows I have tried since using the well water. I have been growing the same way with supersoil for 20+years without any issues at my last...

I am looking for advice on mixing ro water using potassium bicarbonate for ph up and calmag for minerals. The growing medium is Vic High supersoil. I have always used tap water for the last 20 years but just moved and have well water now with 340 ppm. So I am switching to ro water. I have...
