So I bought Agsil to buffer my RO water while getting the benefit of the silica.
Here is what happened when I tried making a gallon of mixed water.
1. First I added only the Agsil to the RO water at .7 grams dry which put the ph up to 10.2
2. According to a post I read by Aquaman I then lowered the ph to 6.2 before adding anything.
3. Then I added 4 ml of calmag.
I stopped at this point because it dropped my ph down to 5.2
I was confused because I thought the calmag would raise the ph so I must of missed something?
It took alot of ph down to lower it from 10.2 to 6.2
Now I would probably have to add more Agsil to raise the ph back up to my target ph of 6.5 for soil?
Am I missing something or doing something wrong.
What I am trying to do is use the Agsil to buffer the RO water, add calmag @4 ml/gallon, and adjust my ph to 6.5
I need help understanding how to do what I am trying to achieve.
Thank you
