1-2 weeks left? *bud pron*

hey guys heres some picks of one of my girls which i believe is less than 2 weeks from harvest, maybe only a week or so...

what do u think by the looks of it, not exactly sure how long she has been flowering cos its outdoor, and she is bagseed, but my best guess would be around 7-8 weeks flowering

i have checked the trichs with a 20x microscope (all i got) and can see varying things, some clear trichs some cloudy and some with amber heads (the ball on the end)

where abouts on the plant should i check the trichs from, small leaves closest to the buds? larger leaves around the buds??

the plant is so wack looking because it was mutilated by bugs about a week before flowering, and only grew these 4 shoots (naturally topped and lollipopped!)

Beautiful Buds man

big fan leaves trchs will turn amber before the ones cloest to the buds so the best would be to look at ur colas and ur bigger pop corn buds rember if ur colas are finished u can chop em and let the rest go until done

yeah the pistils are a beautiful pinky colour and it has a nice sweet smell, but it isnt very stroing or wafting through the air or anything yet. i think she needs a bit longer too im just so fukin excited this being my first grow, but i am going to be patient, i have put so much love into these girls i want them to be at their full potential!

letmeblaze - by check your colas, do you mean check the really small leaves that poke out from the buds? asin get as close as possible to the actual buds themselves?


i am looking of more of a head high rather than couchlock from this plant, so i think im looking for trichs that are fully cloudy with maybe a tiny bit of amber on the tips

would this be right?

Please tell me what made it look ready to you?

because all the bud's hairs are 80% browned if not more?
or am i way off the mark.

all my reading has pointed to the trichs as the one true method of knowing when bud is at its peak, and i will be going by these for sure. its annoying though only having a 20x scope, even though i get a pretty good view of the array of trichs i would like to have a closer look at some of them to get the timing perfect.

as of today i believe that around 80% of the trichs are cloudy, but i not completely cloudy and i think they will go a little further before turning amber, i will be keeping a close eye on them almost daily. there are also a few scattered amber heads aswell...

i had an idea, i might harvest this plant in stages to get varying characteristics of high, say harvest one of my 4 tops in around 4 days, another 4 days later, and so on untill the plant is all chopped. then i would think that i would have some full head high bud and some full couch lock, and also the inbetween. i would cure these differerent chops in separate jars and keep it all labeled nicely... just an idea i had

how does a plant react to cutting off some of the buds at different times, im assuming it will be okay as i have read of ppl cutting lower nugs first because they develop earlier and leaving top colas longer (maybe vise versa...?)

this plant is kind of a practice in terms of harvesting and curing before i take to my big girl which i think will out yield this girl 4 times atleast

that vise versa tops normaly finish first due to the fact there stuck in the light the whole time lower nuggs dont get as much light but yeah u could do that but id keep em a week apart instead of 4 days

Yeah but honestly the top buds on my plants always continue to grow after the lower buds have stopped.

thats is true as well so kinda depends on how fast the strain mature and how fast groth ocurse in flowering theres alot to take account for when choseing ur harvest date

exactly which is why you cant rely SOLELY on the trich's or any other method for that matter.

I get alot of cloudy/milky trichs about 5 weeks into flower on my 8 week strains.

So even if your trich's are all cloudy you could still have a few more weeks to go.

Usually my plants end up with about 15% amber 75% cloudy and a some clear.

The high is always a great mix between head high and body stone.
