A 315 is a great light if you are after personal yield. It will flower a 3 x 3 just about perfectly. I use one in my 4 x 4 so i have room for all of the stuff i need with the light. with a bit more practice I will be able to pull an lb from the 315 solo. I got real close the grow before last .
I think a 630 would really rock a 4 x 4 if you can put it in an air cooled hood.
old school bulbs have more penetration and more power and heat. If you are after big yields for low cost you can not beat old school HID.
This comes up in converstation because i am dealing with heat. Lots of heat. Trying to get down to 85 degrees
