1 and a half months and only 8 inches? could it be the cold.

Hi i got my plant growing under a 400w hps, Its been 1 and a half months now and the plant is only 8 inches.. Is dis normal?
Unfortunately temps drop to 50 degrees farenheit. Could this be the problem?
Aslo the side shoots seem to be growin more than before.. could it just be puttin strength into its side shoots?
what you thing? anybody?

I am growing in a roofspace and my temps have been around 45-50 with the lights off and I see slowed growth every year at this time, contrary to what people say it does them no harm in the long run, and they get used to it after a few weeks and start to pick up ime.

idk that sux maybe your an idiot i used a 13 watt cfl with a paper tunnel type shit just big enough and in 3 weeks it was that big with full miini five fingered leaves sprouting out the mai shouts like 7 fingersd indica

i moved to hps yesterday but my 13 watt tunnel can make nodes les then an inch apartr trethced out to maybe 2 at teh botoom try it rap white paper around a p;ant stick in 13 watt 6500k and tell me if im wrong im not wasting time arguing try it

are you doing 24/0 with an HPS? i would suggest a Metal Halide if you are, otherwise idk...

Is it an Indica... its kinna normal then, considering the temperature...
Are u growing in pots?... if so, are u sure ur plants are not bound?

yes im sure there not bound, i meen they cant be bound! Dont seem big enough to be.. Is it worth havin a look? I so how do i do that without harming it.
Yes i am growing in pots, The plant is like a foot wide tho, could it just be bushy and not tall? the leaves look like a mix.
I have the lights on 18/6.
Im not an idot prick.
anyone got recommendations?

I found that when I bought a heat mat (dog whelping blanket, not vivarium) and put it under my girls they perked up loads during the cold periods.

50f is too cold, that will definitely stunt growth. Why are you turning off the lights if heat is an issue? Keep your lights on 24/7. When it's time to flower run your lights on during the night when it's coldest and off during the daytime.

Just because its cheaper, would it not confuse the plants since ive had them in 18/6 for a month and a half and switching it to 24/0 would possibly make them hermies?

if you dont have choice then you put up with the cold, as I tried to explain to the guy its the cold causing the stunted growth. My lights off temp for the last 3 weeks have been 45-50f. They have gone up to 55 and now i have the heat mat they are positively flourishing again. Which is good as they have been in flower forever now and are at least 3 weeks odd still!!

Ok, ill see what i can do.
Also one more question woomeister, i also have a bunch of seedling, about 8. All bout a week old max and about 2 inches.
ive been thinking about just switching lights to flowering because ive seen alot of 12/12 from seed grows that are lookin quite sucsessful only down fall is small yield.
But i have 3 big plants in the same room. One that we have been talkin about about 8 inches another one about 7 inches and the other only 5 but bushy.
im thinking that id get an ok yield. Also coz i have to go to uk in end of feb so want to get them done hopefully by then..if not i can only rely on my brotha to care for them for 2 weeks max..plus hed probably smoke it behind ma back.
what do you recommend? if ya not sure what im explaining let me know what you dont understand.

I grew 12/12 from seed for years and had great success, the only thing I would say is I only did it during the warmer parts of the year as small plants cant take the shock.

Oh i see, so do ya think i should go with it anyway? Im determined to see the sex aswell.. I might jus stick a space heater in there for when its flowering and they would do fine, I really need a heads up from someone like you to go ahead.. How much dry weight each plant did you get when you was doin flower from seed?
