So I got some mg perlite with trace minerals in it and o rinsed the perlite through a strainer for ~15 mins with filtered tap water then I mixed a new batch of 2/3 ffof and 1/3 perlite, haven't watered it yet cause the soil is already somewhat moist, plant seems to be doing fine post excavation and transplant
Right on. +1 for quick fix and proper transplanting skills
- but i would water it, I always saturate during a transplant, then let it dry out well
Make sure you dont use ff ocean forest only. ive read to mix 50/50 with there lite warrior.
Good Point- Lite Warrior is good stuff. That or sunshine #4 mixed in, just something that will buffer the nutes
-- You have to do the same thing with their happy frog mix.
- I prefer SS#4 personally and pour it in my mixing bin and add nuted and pH water to saturate the soil before potting when im transplanting my clones from humidity dome.(about 1/4 strength per gal than what label says)
That way you can feed them on a normal schedule from the start without hurting them.
Also when you buy clones from a dispensary, ask them if you pull it out of cup and check the roots, or have them pull it out for you. If they say no, tell them you wont buy it without looking at them...Basically you want a good looking root system, but not root bound obviously-lots of places either pot them too fast, or they sit on shelf too long and bind lol. and always ask what soil they had it in, when it was last watered or fed and all that
