I veg most of my clones/seeds about 4~5 weeks or about 1~1.5 feet.
I am currently using .75 and 1 gallon pots.

I was just reading thru the forums and saw most people saying that larger the pot larger the yields.

How effective is this and if i change my pots to 2~3 gallon pots will i experience bigger yields bigger plants? Or does the big pot only most effective for those who veg for longer amount of time?

Any help plz will rep+!!! :bigjoint::sleep:

It makes a great deal of difference with respect to the amount of yield you get. As far as height, that's determined partly on the amount of soil you have and partly on how far along you are.
If you are finished vegging, you will get a great deal of extra growth during the first 3 weeks if you switch over at that point, and may be able to control the height a bit better that way. You should still expect a stretch but it shouldn't be a great deal more than what you are used to.
The buds will be much more plentiful and larger when done though, no question. To put it in perspective, when I flower my Purple Kush, I put them in 4 gallon pots... the difference in height between that and a 2 gallon is negligible... but the buds are much much thicker and the yield is not even close. Your plants can become much larger in VEG with the larger pot though, which is why I suggest waiting until they are finished vegging before switching over to the larger pot.

I know i wont have any problems about "rootbound" but i jsut want to know if there will be difference in yields and growth using bigger pots.
Thanks.

my 7 gallon plants are hiuge, too huge 6+ feet, ill never do it again def increaes yield
but i found smaller plants get nice and icy if u stunt them alil bit rather than just grow them out
but thats just on my first grow

well see if it happens on 2nd

It wont stunt them bro. fdd tried to make his plants smaller but still got a pound and a half.
3 gallons are fine for 3-4 months of growth. any bigger you just wasting dirt and space..

clones -> 16oz w FFOF -> 1 Gallon

1 week before flower -> 3 Gallon

If you have room for 3-4 footers

man im using a 5 gallon pot growing a super skunk strain that i've put through a good bit of stress and it is still going to be a decent harvest. And i truley bealieve part of it has to do with the room the plant has to expand its roots and retaining water. Hope this helps man
