#1 Idiot - Me

here goes. i have 2 white wido clones that were transfered to soil about 2 weeks ago. they are established and have roots showing out the bottom of the pot. they are green and fully healthy. one is slightly shorter than the other. test plant will be the taller one just because that's the one i happened to grab.

day 1 - opened 1 can of Shasta Cola. poured it in a spray bottle. misted test plant with a heavy spraying of straight cola. large drops on leaves and down into new growth.

Day 2 - it might be me or a last ditch effort for survival but test plant on the right looks "perkyer". i did not take a photo of the control plant the first night but i will now. cola was heavy and "globbed up" so i lightly misted with fresh water. cola was distributed evenly and NOT washed off. notice the ant bait.

any comments are welcome on this thread. i've already announced my idiot status so that won't be a necessary comment. any others are more than encouraged.

there is nothing wrong with experimentation. all things civil is a result of experiments. i find your study interesting. since soda is loaded with carbs, I think this might turn out better than you intended it to be. you might have a serendipitous tasting bud at the end.

do i continue spraying? maybe diluted solution once daily? any input?

this started back with a thread titled - "what does spraying cola do?" i don't know. gonna find out.
i've been killing and giving away plants for 3 days now (got a little carried away). i had a few extra to mess with.

in the name of science i am enthused..

since you have extra plants then this is a great idea, where as if you had 12 plants that you wanted to smoke strictly than i would snicker and giggle... :)

Day 4 -
original application of cola is still present. i have been lightly misting once daily to soften cola. no visible signs of damage or harm. appears very healthy. test plant is on the right.

stems are hollow. i have an idea. slowly inject jack daniels or your favorite beer or liquor directly into the stalk during flush or growth. you can dissolve some ketamine or cocaina into it too. imagine your plants on crack or meth. the possibilities are endless.... mm mist it with chicken broth for flavor.

all right this is bull sh*t!!! F^$kin' sticky sh*t f^%kin' everywhere. i rinsed it off. it actually is an inch taller than the control plant, but it was headed that way to begin with. no visible BAD effects to plant itself. surface of soil started to show "MOLD". i am an idiot!!!

that mold might not be bad (not kidding) i was reading something the other day about fungus that forms a small dusty web across the soil and its good for microbal action. one time i was doing a grow where i poured pomegranite juice in the soil and that happened later. i cleaned it off but the plant continued to grow healthy and fine. now i need to find what i was reading....

looking back now. it actually helped. after i rinsed it, it still lingered took about 2 weeks to get it all off. 2 at the most. but the color and vigor were definately more than the other plant. i had 4 total and it turned out to be the biggest. maybe that little bit during veg? it was just so sticky. if there was a way to remove some of the stickiness. i'm sure i could have diluted and it would not have been so bad. i know part of it is the sugar so............i need that. maybe a different brand cola?

oh, and the mold. wasn't so bad. typical got it on all my plants. just a little surface growth. looks normal.
