1 of 6 Thuderbud seeds from Holy smoke seeds germinates

Having spent some good coin for feminized autos from the attitude seed bank I was expectting some good grows. But only 1 of the 6 seeds from HSS germinated, and it;s looking weak! I wrote the tutude and they told me to writr to Holy smoke seds, which i have. No word back yet,,,,, Anybody else have problems with ThunderBud?

Did you discard the rest of the seeds? If not may i ask for how many time they been germinating? Which method are you using to germinate your seeds?

sucks, ive managed to germ 20/20 nirvana seeds from my order and they are supposed to be a bad breeder, maybe its all in the hands of the grower?

It happens dude and sucks mass balls. I bought a 5 pack of feminized Reserva Privada OG #18 and only 3 of the beans popped.

Bra what we gota account for,, is the fact that Often depending on the lattitude of the genetics, they cant all be germinated in the same way ..(ie) somewhere that recieves a lot of rain or monsoon areas , these seeds genetic traits determine that they will not pop on first wetting as they would then drown in the first rains of the season,, thus only on the second or third round of wetting that they open! they are not dead seeds cause they dont open just awaiting the right conditions !..! Anyone who leaves seeds wet for 5 days and says they dont germinate will do well to adjust these conditions allowing the enviroment to dry out some before wettin again..(5 layers of tissue/towelpaper seeds on ,fold over itself ,paper samwich seeds in the middle, wet thoroughly let dry ova few days an repeat)
You can also scratch/braze the shells on tough or thick shells or older harder seeds ,making the shells easier to open/crack wen they swell ..
but if you try everything last resort,, split carefully between thumb an forefinger along seem careful slow pressure an if done right will split a bit youl hear and feel it 'along seem ..bravo ..bang it in wet paper, but not swimmin wet its a tender white'ish bit but that will grow ... i posted this on another forum an peeps said it helped a lot !,,!

I just started week 3 of flower with HS strawberry diesel (fems). These seeds were also supposed to have germination + hermie tendencie's. Well 6-6 germed, and no hermie's (knock on wood lol). These plants are some of the most healthy, robust plants I have ever grown. Sometime's I think people take for granted just how sensitive cannabis plants and there seeds are. When I'm germinating a seed, I'm alway's 100% focused at the task at hand. It's super easy to germinate a seed.........It's also VERY easy to screw it up.

Huh well seamslike others have had some issues here too, and new beans are coming from the breeder they also sent me a link on seed germination which DID not contain any news... sorry i thpought this wa an information exchange not freaking hs......

thanx for the ideas, the last 3 are working 1 is now a seedling the other two are in peat pots after another 6 hour soak, they still did not "split" but both ran out some feeler hairs, so they were looking to.

any special technics used?

may last 2 TB have not yet popped and
i'mabout ready digthem uptoseewhat;sgoing on

No,the one that did make it so far popped in the paper towel soaking after 24 hours in distilled water. the other two have been dug back up,still havenot popped, so I put them back inthe paper towwel onthe tilted plate...dark... no luck, did the baggie papertowl topof the DVR no luck, they will not split, presenlty they are in a cloning chamber with some clone cuts form my shorties that everyone says you cannot clone (and them seam to be right) if they do not pop form there i'm going to snip off the small end of the seed and try again......

well u got em to go so all good ! ul prob find those last 2 need to dry an wet process again rather than stay wet/moist.

got my new thuder bud seeds still just one of the 3 is growing (of the original set) germed 3 white widow - 3 for 3 yeah,,,,,,,

In the beginning i had the same problem as most of you, the seed not cracking, sprouted but the seedling was looking weak, ect. I went through my list of things to check before germinating and there was nothing wrong... exept ONE, and it was the PH of my tap water. It was 10-10.5 pure alkaline and so thats why everything was not popping and growing normal and strong as usual. I swear guys, the next germinating attempt i did, i lower the PH to 6.5 and 20/20 seeds popped and all were watered with ph of 6.5 and all grow really strong and looking beautiful as they should. This is really important that you have the right ph level of ur plants won't be able to use all the nutrients because the ph is not correct and won't grow at all, some may sprout with no true leaves, some seeds won't pop and sprout, if they do, they won't grow strong and or may die, depending on the situation. Right now i have DINAFEM SUPER SILVER AND DE SJAMAAN LEMON growing. Are you keeping the seeds toasty warm while damp in the paper towel, I have 100% success with multiple layers of paper towel made wet and placed in a plastic bag with a little air in it kept 8 to 10 inches under a 60w light, keeps the seeds damp and warm but never hot... Never tried Holy Smokes seeds tho... But I do have some in the mail at the moment...

i got my free thunderbud seed to pop today it was my freebie and after readin this i thought id try the rest look like really really good seeds this 1 didnt and it poped cant wait looks yummy the bud dose. badluck passittome2 have you tryed using heat and the paper twole tec like thats works amazzing with all seeds i get seeds popin in a day which is what the thunderbud did 24hours popped just get heat mat or anything that makes heat bout 20-25degres bang 24hors to aweek there poping lol i never have any trubbles allways works an hormoes work if they take longer after that. good luck bro.
