1 week 2 days old sprouts CFL grow

Hi everybody, I've been a reader of this site for quite a while now and I finally decided to register 'cause I just started my first grow. Couldn't have done it without the help of everybody here though. So right now Ive got sprouts at a little over a week old (planted seeds July 10, first sprout July 12.) What I've got growin' here are 4 THC Bomb and 2 Mazar x Afghan (free) that is got from marijuana-seeds.nl. I have two per bucket (3 Gal.) due to grow room constraints and whatnot, but I'll take out any males of course. For lighting I've got four 30 watt CFLs and the MH is on the way. Miracle Grow Moisture Control soil, and three 3 Gal. bucket with holes drilled in the bottom that I got for 3 three bucks each at the dollar store, small fan and a 24 hour timer. No nutes yet, I guess I should wait a couple weeks still. Been watering about every four days. Overall I am pretty satisfied with growth so far, I included pictures of each and some farther ones for scale (not the best quality, from my camera phone) but they are labeled for convenience How does it look so far?

keep updating on grow plz, im bout to try sum MG moisture control.

but you shouldve used like 16oz cups for first 2-3 weeks still u can see roots and then it will do alot better when transfered to 2 galon pots.

how much t hey char for each 30 watt cfls? i was thinking of maybe starting a seedling or 2 in the house.

keep up the good work! keep those lights as close to the plants as possible to avoid stretching. wait 1 month after seeds sprouted before using any nutes. lookin good so far... update with pics often! good luck :)

I plan on updating every few days or so. Yeah i should have used a cup at first but i guess i was a little too eager lol. but as for transplanting, my mother who's been a gardener for a long time was telling me about some stuff called super thrive (in a non-marijuana related discussion.) she says it will greatly reduce any shock to the plant during a transplant and shes saves hundreds of plants with it. The 30 watt (125 equivalent) cost me five each at walgreens - 2050 lumens each.

LOL yeah the lights can't reach any father down - short cords. Will update often!

yes i use superthrive it is really good for marijuana plants i use it religously

i put like half off da smallest container cap about 1/2-1tbsp per gallon ONLY TO CURE PLANT PROBLEMS/DIESEASE/SHOCK/ETC

most of time ill put 1 maybe 2 in the water i water with every 3 days, sumtimes i only need water it every 3 days but still ive noticed improvement.

So my MH should be coming in within a day or two and I was going to accommodate it by sliding my CFLs forward closer to the lips of the buckets so the reflectors don't cast any shadows. When my plants get bigger and into flowering, however, I was going to arrange the CFLs in a zig-zag pattern with the MH still overhead to try and get the most light distribution. I suppose I would have to take the reflectors off at that point. Does this sound reasonable? Ive been toying with the idea of just replacing my CFLs with one HPS with about equivalent wattage, but I won't be able to place the one bulb around the plants and near middle budding sites like I would with a few CFLs that are 2050 lumens each. With the MH and my current CFLs my total lumen output will be somewhere around 22,000. That should suffice for six plants, right? Hoping to get at least 3 females....

Nooooo do NOT use Miracle Grow, time release or moisture control, if anything use the organic mg, trust me, u will be happier when ur plants aren't burnt or nearly dead

So it has been two weeks since planting and I noticed that the largest plants (bucket 3) first set of leaves, not the cotyledons (which are also turning yellow), have gotten one or two yellow spots on the edges and tips, and the green color seems to be fading just a little bit. Any ideas what might be going on? I dont think it's a burn problem cause its not happening on the top leaves, could they possibly need nutrients already?

Noticed one of the leaves is starting to curl up, still yellowing and browning around the edges. Mg defficiency? Anybody?

So it's been a couple days since the problem started. Only happening in one plant (THC Bomb 1 bucket 3.) The leaves are looking almost a rusted-golden color moving from the tip and edged down toward the stem. vertical growth has seem to slowed down though the leaves have gotten slightly bigger. starting to affect the whole plant not just the bottom ones. Early signs in other leaves are brown-yellow spots around edges. ay Plant overall starting to look kinda droopy and off-colored. Not really sure what this could be as the plant thats sharing its bucket with has been growing outstandingly, much more than any of the others. Looks from that guide that it may be phosphorous defficiency so will be using some diluted nutrients in my next water, later today

Added 1/2 strength fertilizer last night, checked this morning and all the plants are doing well except the one. It looked like phosphorous deficiency. Its getting droopier and more leaves are starting to "rust" and curl. Not all the leaves are harmed though, yet anyway. Can't think of anything it might be cause the plant sharing the pot with it is growing incredibly well at about 8 inches and a little less than 3 weeks old. The Mazar x Afghan are doing very well too, maybe 6-7 inches. And the THC Bomb in bucket 1 are still stocky but growing consistently. Maybe the healthier plant is just growing too big and killing off the other one? Any body have any ideas?

Alright so it's been about 3 1/2 weeks from seed. One of my plants have already died, and now a couple others are starting to show the same thing. I've looked through countless guides and still cant quite figure out whats going on. I put up a picture of whats going. Whats happening is it's turning yellow at the tips then it starts to dip down where its yellowing, creating a quarter-pipe looking tip and continuing green and flat closer to the stem. I started quarter strength nutes about a week or so ago but I don't think its nute burn cause the plant that died started doing this well before the first nutes (it was the one in the pot with the giant, I thought maybe the reason it had died was because the other one grew so large, but I guess not). So since its now happening to more I got some dolomite lime to balance out the Ph. Ive already tried flushing and it didnt seems to do anything. Somebody please help it seems like I'm talking to myself here....

Lol well if the plants continue the way they are there won't be much of a show. This is my first grow and I don't really know my ph, temp and humidity, I'm a broke college kid and I haven't been able to buy the right stuff yet. For now I'm just tryin to keep em alive. My light cycle is 18/6, and I'm about to get a ballast for my metal halide bulb cause the one plants growing way too fast and its messing up my light distribution.

I took a couple more pictures. The third one is suffering the most and is also the shortest, been growing pretty slow since sprout. Interestingly, there have been no problems with the tallest one at all. Please, anybody have ANY ideas that may help? Thanks!

It starts as a discoloration (kinda yellowish brownish) at the end of the leaves, not really the oldest leaves its kinda in the middle, then the leaves start to "rust." Please somebody has to have SOME kind of advice. Anyone?!
