10 day old seedling collapsed?

So I planted a number of seeds indoors in peat pots with garden soil in them. I've been watering them with around a teaspoon a day, and 24 hour light. The tallest seedling has a reddish stem, I'm not sure if it's okay, cause my other seedlings have green ones, though my seeds MAY have been 2 mixed strains. Today I checked on them and the tall one with a reddish stem had collapsed to the side, i can see its white root too, the plant is in a L shape, with the bottom part of the L being it's root, so it's a bit weird. Is this just a watering problem on my part?

Sounds like it got too stretched... How far away is your light from the little ones? What type of lighting are you using?

Put a small stake in and tie it off so it stays upright. It should grow out of the stringy phase granted you have adequate light, and the plants arent reaching out too far for what they need.

I have one CFL per plant right now, and its about 2 inches or so from the plants top. Also there is still the seed stuck to the leaf of the seedling, even though it already has 3 sets of leaves, is it just stuck there and should i take it off?

Schmidty asked some good questions that you should go over. But i think a teaspoon of water sounds like to little. They just might be thirsty. Pics would help. You should also mist and add a fan with a slight breeze to help stem production.

Start your own thread. But i doubt the seedling shells poses any threat to plant formnation.
