Hey folks
Wanted to show you my bagseed seedling.. it grow kinda quick after i put the sprouted seed into soil, but then it stoped after like 5th day, and the grow was slow until the 10th day, i suppose its becouse of the root developement, but now its blastin and gettin bushier.
This is my first grow, i love it, aand the reason why im writing this, becouse i want some advice, isnt it too small for its age :?

The light setup is 2x 23w=100w eq. 5500k 1.4 lm cfl's, and 1x 40w=175w eq. 2700k 2680 lm cfl.IMAG0773.jpgIMAG0775.jpgIMAG0776.jpg
Gona get few more 5500k's for better growing, with 10k lm would be enough, for 1 baby, right
?

At 1st pic shown at day 7th, and the rest 3 days later :)

Actually compared to all the other 1 week or 2 week old threads that show up yours is actually large for its age, all new growers seem to think theirs isn't big enough lol. Sounds like you have enough light for veg but when it comes to flower those 5500's aren't going to do very much and you will probably want to replace them with 2700's or 6500's.

yup looking nice  but like Adjorr said your gonna want to keep those 2700k lights for flowering and 6000k-6500k for Veg :D

its crazy tho bc i didnt have access to 6500k CFLs for a while only 5000k And they were growing just fine. Now that i put in the 6500k Bulbs doesnt really look like much a Diff. But who knows lol

6500's produce a broad spectrum of light comparable to sunlight, it has a good balance of red and blue light which makes it ideal of use in both veg and flower.

The first 5 days were random, now i bought a timer and set it on 20/4
Made a CO2 generator tho, but dunno if it gives a lot.. , maybe at night, when the vents are off :/

...no way you're ready for CO2 man, that is an advanced technique that is completely unnecessary until and unless you become an experienced commercial operator, right now you just need to learn the basics of how to keep them alive and growing so you can grow you some bud, ...this first grow is just practice bro, you will have plenty of time to learn about the advanced stuff so don't put the cart before the horse.

...also, if you bite off more than you can chew and things go sideways you won't have any clue WHY and so you won't know where you went wrong nor how to fix it, ...no man, you will be much better off if you just relax and try to successfully grow you some smokeables.

...btw, 6500K bulbs are mostly blue, the higher that Kelvin number the more blue the light and they will indeed grow you some buds but the truth is that mj evolved using the sun so as a grower you need to try to replicate that light to some degree, meaning you need both red and blue light, ...you want about a 3 to 1 ratio of blue light to red in veg and about a 3 to 1 ratio of red to blue in flower.

peace, bozo

Appreciate your effort and info bozo.
I keep the lights from her about 3cm(1-2 inch) away, is that cool for seedling ? Maybe its the reason of the short height, becouse ive got that distance from beginning.. as close as possible.

...here's a shot of the box i built to start my beans and root my clones in, note that the seeds are sown directly into cups of coco and have cups taped above as temporary humidity domes which are removed as soon as the seedlings emerge. (seeds pop best in low light conditions, not dark but a single 23watt CFL would provide all the light necessary, ...in my box there is only reflected light up top and that is plenty, the lower bulbs also passively provide warmth for the babies above, that was part of my design)

...and here they are after they have emerged from the coco and lost their hats.

...and here is a shot of one of the babies at about 2 weeks.

...i think 3cm's is too close for seedlings, ...try holding the back of your hand 3cm's from your light and see how hot it gets after a while, then ask yourself if that is too hot for a fragile seedling.

peace, bozo
