Here are some pics of my ten day old blue dream seedlings. The leaves look really healthy and already smell like good bud when i gently rub my fingers on them. Do you think their size is right for 10 days. I am using coco. Right now I am watering them with dyna grow protekt, foliage pro and cali mag. My tap water comes out at 330ppm and i am adding 200 ppms of nutrients for a total of 530 ppm. I will will installing my RO filter tommorow. Do you guys think they are doing ok for ten days. I have seen some folks with much bigger plants at this stage. I have them under 1000 watts MH and I am keeping the light far enough away from the plants on 24/0. Thanks and sorry for the lowquality picscanna3.jpgcanna2.jpgcanna1.jpgcanna5.jpgcanna4.jpg

We are growing a blue dream right now and have out grow labeled very well as far as age and dates. Comparing our two, yours is a bit behind. But it's not too much to worry about to be honest. However I'm not familiar with coco, so you could be doing something wrong as far as your feed

How often do you feed those nutes?

Good call with dyna-gro's products. What size pots are they in? They're still establishing a root system. That's their focus right now so don't worry about the size or growth rate just yet. They look good to me.

Is also cut that light to 18/6. If this is your first grow your going to hate your power bill. My timer was switched to the on position after a power outage and those big lights get expensive.

it is super cold where i am growing them so i am using the lights to heat the room as well. do you think i should use more dyna grow kln to help establish the roots? I think next time i am going to mix in perlite with the coco. I think that should make it easier for the roots to grow. I have them in 5 gallon bags. I think I am going to use plastic buckets next time (more sturdy). i saw your journal drjohn. very nice grow so far

All looks good and no need to worry.

Only reason I can see that they might look slightly behind is the size of container. In my experience if you use starter pots then pot up as the roots establish you see quicker growth.

Thank you very much. And I agree with the other doctor, I prefer having a small starting lot, and transplant to final pot after they've established a nice root system.

Good luck. And don't stress too much

Here is an update at 12 days. I just ordered some rhizotonic and voodoo juice to get the root structure building. Here are some pics. I keep seeing people whose plants are much bigger than mine at 12 days but i think i may have stressed out the plants when planting the germinated seeds hehe... anyways the plants although small for their age seem healthy. Here are some pics.

Hey man.....heres my Cheese girls. Theyre in plain Coco. They are 9 days from sprouting. Havent been fed anything other than ph'd water at 5.9 with Calmag and rooting hormones. Under 400w MH from day 1.

Nice grow! I agree with the posters mentioning pot size... If you start the plants in too big a pot, the soil at the bottom of the pot can become too compact for the roots to grow into it. (Even with coco) If you start with a pot closer to the actual root size, roots fill the pot before the soil or coco is too compacted. In addition to saving money, you might get a little more stretch out of the plants in veg by switching to 18/6. My Blue Dream stopped stretching when I switched the lights on 24/7. I've recently switched back to 18/6 to see if my Blue Dream gets it stretch back... Best of luck!
