So break them down instead of hanging them upside down
You could hang them for a bit but before they get dry enough to jar/cure I would break them up into similar size nuggets.
Ideally you wanna dry in a dark place with good air movement. You don’t want a fan blowing directly on them but try to get the air moving all around.
60F and 60% rh is kinda the gold standard for ideal conditions. You can certainly vary from that but you don’t want extremes.
If your humidity is a lot lower you’d want the temps to stay as cool as possible.
Super warm….say above 75F is pushing it…..and you’d want your RH to be at that 60% level or slightly higher.
If your temps are cooler, like 55-65F, you can get away with a little drier RH.
The main goal is to have them dry as slow as possible, preferably in a consistent environment.
In 60/60 a plant will need to hang anywhere from 9-14 days before it’s ready to jar/cure. That’s if you wet trimmed it and took off all the big fans and most of the other leaves.
Id say the most common problems are drying too fast or jarring too early.
