100,000 lux too much?

Hey gang,
Lowered my 400's within like 10" of my plants and I'm getting around 100,000-110,000 lux at each plant site. I have fans running and what not and temps are in the 80's (with co2 running) but the leaf margins are curling up. Could it be too much light?

I get bleaching at 5000 foot candles or 50,000 lux. That is the level of light I get between about 15-24 inches away from my 600 watt.

Thanks again homebrew.

There was some d-bag on here saying "I keep my 400's 4" from my plants". My repply was basically "no you don't". I think he is growing cooked bacon though :)

One of my plants is 5 inches below, and offset by about 4 inches beneath a 600w hps. I also have an oscillating fan aimed up at the lights. The plant doesn’t seem to mind being that close and continues to grow about an inch a day. I have maybe one foot of ceiling space left, and then I’ll need to bend her over. From my limited experience, UV seems to damage older leaves; younger leaves seem to tolerate the light much better.
