okay first of alll....... there are 100,000 people registerd to this site. let alone all the countless other botanical communities... 100,000 people who have grown, are growing, or are going to attempt it......... is there no one on this site that can prove the country wrong and is some sort of public figure. let the world know that youve done this, that, and the third and you still havnt become the steriotypical "drug addict". i am not lashing out for reason. im just fed up with the secrecy of all of this......i have spent nights in jail for the simple fact i had a couple fucking dime bags on me... but the guys selling crack and coke down the block are sittin there laughin there ass off..... yes in NY its decriminalized now. but really. how far can you put it off that marijuana is the countries second biggest cash crop....over 150 billion dollars made each year( i think thats the numbers) and thats only all the stuff the governmant knows about... how long really.... can u keep pushing it and pushing it... ITS DECRIMINALIZED... okay so instead of going to jail im going to pay a fine... if im paying a fine ide rather spend the 2 nights in jail over a 250 dollar fine.... and again i have not been in any trouble in a long time. i simply think its time for change... american revoloution, french revoloution, the storming of the bastille, the civil war..... things are not done by sitting by, and doing nothing... ik there are marijuana tokers that have good reputible jobs, lawyers, poloticians what have you.... but once a movemant gets set into motion for the liberation of the counterculture... ik im gonna be votin my ass off to pass that bill, ammendmant, etc.......

I feel the same way, along with every toker. Everyone knows that alcohol is way worse, more addictive, worse side effects, worse on your health. If you could legally smoke weed that would be less people drinking, in turn less drunk driving accidents because you know for damn sure there arent gonna be any "high driving" accidents unless your couch has an engine and tires.

idk bout you. but i can drink like a fish if i smoke a blunt inbetween drinks....alcohol is technically a posion. it makes your body run full steam. then you crash...... weeed you plateu eat. then fall asleep............

It's always, all about the money. Who's to benefit if pot were illegal? nobody. Who would it hurt financially? The drug cartels. Pot has for thousands of years had THE most active compounds found in nature. It has been used to treat everything (successfully) from bad breath to bunions. But you can't patent a plant. Therefore, the drug companies can't make a billion bux on it and it is competition for them. Why would you spend $500,000 for cancer treatment when $100 worth of pot will cure it? It's always all about the money. Also, Dow chemical even had hemp outlawed, even though the founding fathers encouraged in the strongest possible terms, the growing of hemp. It is THE most important natural fiber in the world. Sadly that made it stiff competion for Dow's new synthetic fiber, nylon. Nylon could not compare to hemp so they pulled some strings and had it outlawed with MJ.

Not to be a wet blanket, but if you want to make a difference, bitching about it on a pot growing website where just about everyone agrees with you isn't going to do a thing. Did Thomas Jefferson and Samuel Adams and all of the Founding Fathers just sit around in their 18th century meeting bitching about the brits? Did MLK just sit around and whine to his people? Did any of those things (" american revoloution, french revoloution, the storming of the bastille, the civil war....") just happen? No! Some one, or a group of people, made a plan of action towards change, and only after years and years of hard work and determination did they make changes.

If you want to make change, break the stereotype of a pothead, and get off your ass and do something. Write a letter to a governmental official, run for office yourself or organize a peaceful assembly/protest. Until you've done something, don't expect change.

I'm not disagreeing with you about how it should be legalized, but it really grinds my gears when people expect the government to know everything or do everything for them. If you think that's their job, then go to a library (a place where you can find books and borrow them) and get a copy of the constitution and read it. Hell, you could probably find one on the internet.

It's not about what we want,its not about what the majority of voters want,its not what medical science can prove,it is & allways has ben about money,cold hard cash,the average marijuana users are gainfully employeed with access to cash ,have families who care about them & their well being (read bail & fine money here) ,its about taking a working man who uses marijuana & squeezing every last dollar they can from him for a 5 year period,then taking all his assets & property,its about funding an outdated branch of government that needs us to pay for their salaries & overtime pay.
