I have a 1911, and a 30/06. And I am atheist, pro choice, don't hunt, don't think NASCAR is a sport, and don't think everyone should have the right to own a firearm. Especially religious fanatics like christians, members of known gangs/clubs, or alcoholics, to start.

Because the Constitution didn't say anything about automatic rifles, assault rifles with 30 round magazines and hollow point bullets that pierce body armor and are only intended to do mass trauma.
The Constitution was written in a period of time where it took up to a minute to reload a single round of a musket ball and black powder into a rather inaccurate rifle.
Kind of like how everyone thought the world was flat in the past. We now know it's not.

Wonder how all excited you would be if suddenly you were in a group that was not allowed weapons. You would probably be all like... Ok, the government said I cant have guns so I am gonna give them up like a good citizen. Or maybe you have not bothered to think far enough to see yourself in that situation.
Do you understand you are no different than any other group that wants those 'other' people to not have guns. It is exactly what the liberals want, only the government having control of them and that doesnt mean you.
