Outdoors I would not think you needed any, native soil should have that. Indoors I do 1/2 tsp a gallon, but I know for a fact my fert has no mg in it

I have most of my plants in the ground but the ones I have in pots are the only ones that turned yellowish...

Have given them sum Epsom Salts and already you can notice the color changing!

Next Question.
I just chopped one of my Durban Poisons. Total wet weight was 1,378 grams. (48 oz) (3lbs)
How much would that be dry?

Some people say you lose as little as 60% and some say as much as 80%
Suppose that means its somewhere in the middle... around 70.....

- I'll just answer my own question then (saves waiting dunnit) - so about 413 grams then.....

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol

I am growing outdoors
When is best to switch to flowering nutes...
Coz Im getting the feeling - I switched too soon
Older leaves r getting yellow on some plants (nitrogen def?)
Switch as soon as you see the budding begin?
or when the budding is definitely getting under way?
... was going to give them Cal-mag
but I've run out...
Gotta go grow shop shopping I guess

The big question here is what flowering nutes are we talking about and what are the listed NPK amounts. If you switched the plants over just before flower that should be fine, as far as timing, and that's what I do every year with my girls.

It sounds like your bloom formula may have been a bit light on nitrogen or it may be another problem. Very low nitrogen is common with flowering nutes, with some being a lot worse than others. Why don't you tell me what brand you're using for your flowering nutes and the NPK amounts, what size pots the plants are in, how big the plants are and what type of soil mix they are in. Then we can go from there if you would still like to. I only do outdoors, and all though it's a pain in the ass at times, that's what I love to do. :bigjoint:

Hi There Foothills!
Im chatting about " Hesi Flowering "
I am seeing the pale leaves on sum plants in pots AND some in soil...........
The Plants are all large! All very very healthy... till they began to flower... then the leaves went paler and some yellowed ........
and it says : 3-3-4 on the hesi bottle!....
I have just given the yellowing plants some Organic Molasses and some Epsom Salts (coz I still haven't got cal-mag)
Don't like yellow leaves
:(

If you want to send some weed in the mail, shrink wrap it like said earlier, put it in a can of coffee beans or something like that (other dry beans, peanuts maybe?) seal the lid on it, put it in a box with a couple other food items around it, and put "food care package" or something like that on your box where you have to say contents. don't use your name or your recipients name (don't use a stupid fake name either, cause that kinda draws attention) and try to see if you know a service that doesn't x-ray. I know for a fact that Fed-ex does not (I know a few people that work there, and I have done this with up to a quarter) but I have no clue about other countries. If they do x-ray, they will see nothing, because you will have foodstuffs on all sides of your coffee can

keep the seeds from your autoflower, they might pass on the autoflower trait, which would be pretty cool, or they might not. You'll never know till you try.

That sounds awesome. What was your yeild? I am looking for a heavy yielding autoflower that I can throw in with my vegging plants. And What happened to your quotes? they were so awesome!! I had an auto critical cheese from Dina fem outside, I was impressed by the smoke, not by the plant itself. Mine only got about 18 inches tall, I maybe got a half ounce, AND most is still not ready yet, what the wtf? Dinafem said about 70-80 days, I'm at 75 days right now, and I have harvested the top cola and one of the lower branch, the stuff that is left is 99% white pistils, and it seems like mostly clear triches (I don't have a glass, so I just look at it, I harvest when it looks grey/gold colour) Did your auto finish in the time it said?

Auto Mazar gave me 30 grams dry: lovely hard nugggzzzzzzz mmmmmmmmm (chuffed the lot already) lol

my biggest yielding Autoflowerer was AUTO BIG DEVIL (from Sweet Seeds) - it was twice the size of All my other Autos!
Big Devil gave me 42 grams dried!

Most Autos seem to take from 10 TO 12 weeks - regardless of what the breeder babbles! ;) - so your almost there im sure!

My Auto Mazar took exactly 10 weeks....... I think......... Stoneddddddddddd.............

Is auto flower worth it? Is it still pre-mature to go buy the seeds because of issues?
AutoFlower are amazing! I had my doubts!
I have grown AUTO PURPLE and AUTO NEFERTITI from Pyramid Seeds - they were easy to grow - fun to grow - about 20 grams dried off each
I tried BIG DEVIL from Sweet Seeds - HUGE auto flowerer and gave me double the yield of any other 42 grams dried
I tried Auto SOMANGO and that bombed it only grew a few inches so I chucked it off a terrace!
I have grown AUTO Sweet tooth and that was deeeeelicious! mmmmmm smelled like candy!!! very crystally .....
wierd........ I wudn't have thought it...... be Autos seem to have better "Bag Appeal" than most Normals*............. Auto Sweet Tooth made me want more!
It gave me a Sweet Tooth for Autos for sure.......
Worth it! FUN! Strong! Great "Bag Appeal" - why wud u NOT want autos.................. ¿? L.O.L

I had that auto critical cheese, best weed I've ever smoked period. That said, my hand was the only one to touch it, so I got the real deal straight from the ground. I have some photos going now that are triple to 4x and more the size of that lil auto. just for arguments sake, one would not want an auto if they wanted a perpetual grow, you can't clone autos (you can, but you are killing your yield when you do) The bag appeal though... after I harvest the top 2 colas, I think the rest of the plant knew it was gonna die soon, and now it looks moldy. Not moldy like mold, I just mean that there are so many crystals on it, its like a white carpet, and it threw up more calyxes this week, all white hairs, a few turning red. I am still gonna get some autos, I'd rather have some personal, and then have the good stuff coming later, and not spend my money

You could grow peas and beans. They add nitrogen to the ground. Chickens help bring the droppings as well. You could raise worm for castings. I've been pondering the same.

I just saw your new post about other fertilizers, you can use:
powdered milk (high in calcium) you can put this straight into the dirt, or mix a weak batch with water
tea leaves (nitrogen, and antioxidants) same thing, brew a tea, let it be cold, not hot, water with that, or put leaves into the dirt
hot peppers like habanero peppers, grind them up, simmer on stove with some water(simmer!! boiling is bad!) for about 20 minutes. strain out pepper pulp, spray on plants. the capsasin will keep bugs from eating your ladies, and will provide other benefits for the plant
epsom salt (Mag and Cal) is also good, add about a half teaspoon per gallon.

I usually use these when there is a deficiency and the hot peppers I use all the time to keep bugs off. and it works, if I see any bugs, I spray the top, bottom, sides everything, and for the next few days to a week there are no bugs at all, longer if there is no rain
