If you were able to produce 5 LBS with a 600 gallon pot, why would you ask if a 1000 gallon pot could produce 5 to 10 LBS, I would think you have already establish 5 LBS is very doable

here is what I would do my friend . get some nice wood and build a structure . like a ditch . fill it with dirt. plant. them . better to just buy smart pots they are cheap can get a 100 gallon pot reasonable .

I don't know. "I" would think that there is a point of diminishing returns. Yield of a 250 gallon vs 1000 gallon when you consider all the extra space you are taking up for 1 plant and the work and cost involved in maintaining that space. But, what do I know (WDIK)?

wouldn't it just grow as big as if it were outside in ideal conditions with pretty much endless soil for roots

Just to add to my post above. If in theory you could get 10 pounds from a plant in 1000 gallons, do you know you can't get 3 from a plant in 250 gallons?

what if you veg it for like 1 year 24/0, keep adding mh's as needed then switched to flower.. is there a point that it will stop getting bigger vegging all the time?

if you constantly prevented a root bound situation and maintained vigorous growth it would work. I have heard that it is better to have a younger plant with much vigor versus an old plant that has lived through many issues and stresses..

of course 1000 gallon pots are possible. Necessary? That is the question....

Can you at least have some logicality in your statements? If you are being honest why ask these questions or make statements when you have already had this exact grow under your belt?

For one it wasn't really MY grow, I helped out with it. I witnessed it. I should have said WE. My bad. The pots used then were 6x6 2 feet deep made out of plywood and chicken wire. I really wasn't there through the whole process. I helped out a lot at the end.

From what I understand you can get a better grow out of those smart pots (for reasons that are a little over my head) than you would out of the pots we made then.

You would be trimming for months and were In the hell do you plan on getting your jars from. so grow same plants for 2 years to get 50 lbs or perpetual grow for 2 years and have 60-80lbs and have money coming in all the time. But hey if they get that big please invite me over I wanna play hide n seek and swing from marijuana branches I wanna be the first back up bitches I first in line. I no of people having greenhouses wirh 1500+ plants and getting 70-80lbs in half a year killing the game but he no longer does this as he was bumped off by a snitch. He has 35+ years under his belt. And he just got bumped off

I don't know. That just seems like a ton of work for what you get.

There are youtube videos of people pulling pounds off of SCROG grows, WAY less work for the same yield. May be a better way to go. After my first grow finishes I am going that route.

General rule is that a 3-gallon pot will support a plant for 3 months. Why would anyone try to keep a plant 1000 months? BigSteve.

So much of your questions and concerns are based on hear-say.... The ideal plan is to get the most out of the 12 plants allowed in my county.

I have seen 6-8lb + plants done in 300 gal smart pots. 99 at a time. Not terribly uncommon in Humbolt county. If you're looking for large yeild and less concerned w smoke try cyderella 99.
