1000 watt hps, 3'x12' closet

I bought a 1000 w hps a couple years back and didn't end up using it. I'm starting again and have some seedlings under tube fluorescents and am either going to hook that one up or get a 400 watter. its in a closet that isn't walk in. any comments on heat, power consumption etc.?

With that 1000 you will have heat and lots of it if you don't air cool it and maybe even shield it.

thanks for the response. I think I'll just get a big exhaust fan and send it in the attic and a box fan directly on the light. Think that that will work? I don't think I can get a sheild, worried about having stuff sent to my house.

if you can get that thing air cooled you might stand a chance but 1000's are hot hot
