the glass on your reflector broke?

HD & lowes wont be able to do anything for you, from what i know they dont usually deal with glass, especially custom cutting glass...a window specialist would probably be your best bet...or if you got it thru the mail, tell the company you ordered from that it arrived shattered

you may be assed out as ive never seen glass from a reflector replaced...without the glass your temps may run high, but your not gonna lose as many lumens...if you can keep good temps using an inline fan without the reflector's glass i'd mark this one as a win and run without it

...if your temps are running high because the absence of glass your either gonna need to replace it or get a whole new reflector

sucks but good luck man

how did you break it? touch it then turn it on?

the oil on your hands can cause a bulb to shatter (almost made that mistake myself). luckily someone sorted me out!

Lots of places cut glass to size, get tempered clear glass when you do, or just plain window glass. Cheap.

No plain glass. Weak and dangerous. Spend the extra for tempered glass.

Tempered glass is stronger and if it breaks it will break up into little chunks that aren't too sharp. Plain glass on the other hand is easier to break and breaks into sharp shards of glass.

Safety first, for you and your plants

yeah.. man i just put it softly on the bed and it shattered...im not talking about the bulb.. the bulb is fine.. im talking about the glass that came with the hood.. this is to all the other readers that thought it was the bulb.. but anyways are there different types of tempered glass or just one kind? cause i have a local glass shop and they have to order the glass and cut it for me.. and they were going to charge me 33 bucks..

That was the first site that came up when I google searched. There's probably better deals out there online.
