Easy fix. If you are worried about your light not coming on and your plants going into flower too early all you have to do is buy a timer and buy a socket that will go in the timer with a light bulb on it. The light bulb will come on when the timer gives it power Just Have Your timer programmed at the same time your thousand watt ballast comes on.
