1000 watt HPS, with crops on floor??

i just started a new grow ina new grow room and the light(1000watt hps) has to be stationary, at like maybe 6 feet, maybe an inch or 2 lower. And i have to put my 1 1/2 to 2 week old crop on the floor in 3 gal pots, and i cannot put them any higher because i have a few monster plants in their already that are huge, and need the light to be as high as it is. anyone know if this height of the light would be good enough light for my plants on the floor? at least till they get bigger??

What's the distance from the light to the plants. why not just put them on a table?

the distance is like, i`d say 5 feet, to 5 1/2 feet. i`d have to grab my tape measurer to know for sure, buit that`s an appx. and i can`t put them on table because of so many plants(25), and i just don`t have that much space, or that big of a table for that matter. Do you think they will be okay on the floor???

can yone please help me on this question..as this is the 2nd day of my plants being on floor and the light being like 5 to 51/2 feet away, and i am trying to find out if this would be cool till they get big, before i have them for too long on the floor if it isen`t getting alot of light

You should be fine man...as long as they're getting some light, they'll reach for it. I've seen people that move 2 plants in every 2 weeks...as well as take 2 out. So you should be fine as long as they're getting some decent light.
