1000 Watt Sodium Vapor any good?

i found a deal on a 1000 Watt Sodium Vapor air cooled hood... with Hydrotek reflector shield w/glass heat shield..1000 Watt Magnetic Ballast..and bulb for $250 are these any good ? i have a 1000w hps but would like to add more.

any one know?

I've never heard of a 'sodium vapor'. There are high pressure sodiums, and there are mercury vapors, maybe the poster doesn't know what he's talking about and listed it wrong?

its not hps it lps has a yellow look to them i think there not the best for growing i looked around these are mostly used for street lights and parking lots.but the set up for sale is an air cooled hood made to grow thats why i was asking.

Crazy, I haven't a clue then. Does anybody else?
