1000 Watt System Question?

Hello everyone..long time no see...Well today I just picked up a 1000watt HPS/MH System...My question is how big of an area will my light cover? I have hear 10x10 to 8x8..any help will be appeciated.

i think that the minumum is area is 10X10...or 12X12...i would not go anything less than 10X10

You can use a large area im sure. But ive heard of people doing 1000w in 5X5 areas. 10X10 seems too large to me.

i've got a 1k watter in my 4x4x8 room

i've got one in a 10x12x8 area, but the plants are to be centered to the light. i'm not using it to fill the entire room per say.

A 1000 watts will effectively cover an 8x8 area... It will give another 2 ft of secondary light source beyond that. If you look at the manual that comes with your balast it should show you what I just stated. Good luck with your grow bro

I'm in a 4x4 w/ 1000HPS. Wouldn't mind 5x5, but not much bigger without auxillary lighting around the edges.
