I have almost exactly the same setup and it's working very well. I have 3 or 4 23W cold white (6500K) and one warm white (2700k) per plant. I run 18/6.
Here is my C99 vegging. She is has nice tight nodes and is growing really well. I plan to top her today. Half the lamp is turned off since the other C99 is convalescing from 'claw leaf'.
I do keep the lights about 1" above the plant. Seems CFLs wont burn unless the plant touches them (which happens too easily at 1"
Separate veg & flower cabs make your setup a lot more flexible and efficient. I plant to set up a staggered grow and harvest a plant or two every few weeks.

Here is a bit of an Update on my trees, my baby Mkush and my new cloning setup
I has been a busy boy, and i hope all my time and cash pays out into a great little weed lab for myself to play in;P
Here we go
First off we have my new Vegging area, complete with my 4 Master Kush babies. They are looking a little yellow, but i think it was from root binding, the were wrapping around the edges if teh cups, so i think they needed more room^^ i hope

Its basically a DIY Deep water culture cloner, with two 12 inch air stones at the bottom, and properly Ph.d Hydro water..... its in the aquarium for the humidity factor and because if i didnt use it for something, Wifey was gonna give it away><

And lastly but not Leastly, is my old sexy girls Cleo and Mihn..... They are still looking a bit yellow in parts.
i have NO FUCKING CLUE WHY THO...i have tried flushing, adding blood meal(nasty shit) and adding Extra Grow big(high in Nit).....
Im at a loss atm. I am still getting these REALLY badly yellowed leaves, the rest looks great imo. but they have the plants Aids in some spots. I hope to figure it out soonly......

Not sure but it looks like its only effecting parts of the leaves.. correct? Could be a couple things.. since its a scrog could be the lower leaves that dont get much light, causing the plant to cannibalize them and use their stored energy. Or a N def, but ive dealt with n def, and it usually starts on the tips and makes its way back to the center of the leaf.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.. give it some high N nutes and see what happens. From what ive read some plants require more N during veg than others.. just a thought.

I had to spray paint the out side of teh container, and just put tape over the most transparent parts, b/c my back hurt like a mofo.., it also helps keep the lids down all the way.

I know they arent technically part of this "grow" with the pitbulls, but i figure ill just pt pics of my Master kushs on here as well then start their own Grow journal here in a few weeks when im sure they will be big pretty MK babes
