Anyone Try Using This. For less than $200 you can get a 1000W LED is this legit or nah??? Dont these things normally run close to like $500??? Its china made could be why but would this be better than a 400W HPS in a 4x4 Grow tent???? Been having alot of heat issues and this would definitely fix that! Anyone Try these out or know from experience says alot of people have bought it but no reviews!!!!

I'm not a pro, but having been looking at some led fixtures for supplemental lighting to T5, I believe that is actually closer to 240 actual watts. It says 4x4 coverage, but I doubt it. A real led like the Solar Storm 880 is like $1700 if that tells you anything. It would probably help for supplemental light. I'm going to get two of the Marshydro 300 for that. There like 140 actual watts.

yeah thats what I was wondering cause they normally range up to $1000 for a good LED setup... Was shocked to see this for like $200.... Just dont believe it. Saw some youtube reviews about it and they seem to say they work well... thats why I was trying to see If theres anyone that purchased An off brand like this one @ 1000W and if it compared to a 400W or not.

Waste of money. You should post about it to the Indoor->LED forum.

You'll have to run HPS-like watts (per square foot) with these inexpensive Amazon/eBay lights. You might as well just buy T5HO for shorter spaces, CMH for taller. You'll use less watts/sq ft and have a serviceable fixture that can be sold on eBay 5 years from now.

I bought a china made LED light a while back. It was the same layout and design as the one you are looking at right now. But it is 300w instead of 1000w. Half the diodes went out after a couple rounds of veg. I thought it would last much longer but apparently not. Its now used for my clones. I ended up getting a Gavita 1000w HID.

Many have tried these, look around or post this in the LED section for more confirmation, they're not worth your time or money. There are some great LED lights, just not that design/chip set. If there was ever a product that truly follows the "you get what you pay for" mantra, LED's are it.

I use a switchable Galaxy 250-400w ballast that will run hps or my bulbs if long wanted to try a led but opted for stuff I know works as the initial start up cost for led is high & the reliable LEDs such as area 51 have such a high price tag that over time hasn't dropped like I hoped it would

By the way, even the $500 epi-whatever lights aren't worth it (compared to T5HO for short spaces, or CMH for tall). For 16sq ft you need 450w of efficient LED like Area-51. That's $870 for 5 Area-51s. About $2 per watt (compared to 25-cents per watt for a light you'd have to run at 60w/sq ft).

If that's out of your price range, a CMH would be good. They have cover at about 35-40w/sq ft (less heat than HPS, but more expensive). One LEC-315 and some household LED lightbulbs to supplement around two edges.

I just want to throw something out there about lighting, everyone keeps recommending MH HPS, but that is just out of the question for a lot of us due to heat, and or other constraints, so sometimes you have to improvise away from those. I think some led is an alternative to MH HPS, but may never achieve the same results. Us in that situation have to be willing to accept that.

Have you looked at CMH? That seems to produce more usable light per watt than the typical Amazon/eBay epi-whatever LEDs (less heat). Otherwise, you have to spend $2 per watt on efficient LED like Area-51.

As @az2000 mentioned, CMH and specifically Philips Elite Agro CMH bulbs that come in 210w and 315w are your best alternative if you don't want to or can't afford to go higher end LED's using Cree or Vero COBs. They're in between LED's and hps for heat and efficient like LED's. The 315w is equivalent in yield to somewhere between 400-500w hps depending on skills and grow methods. Heat is than a 250w hps.

You can swap out your 400w hps, manage your heat easier, and likely pump out more bud.

I'd love to try one, but their pretty expensive as well, and I'm afraid heat might still be a problem. Expensive risk. I do pretty damn good with a T5 and led combo, but I still fight heat with that setup.
