Looking awesome dude! I had the chance to try some GG4 from a couple of spots in Denver (one was at the cup) and it was good, but I would love to see it done all the way and done right. I know there are other clones that have usurped it at the top spot (I think GG #5 is the next big thing, although I don't think it's as easy to get as the GG#4) but I have still yet to get an offer for a clean cutting that I can trust, so I'm still out of the loop.


Not sure what I want for my next run but if it involves another donut you can believe I'll be keeping an eye on any of his Appalachia or SSH crosses since this Silver Mountain is so perfectly structured for it. I'm kicking myself for not doing clones this run, especially since my "grow buddy" has absolutely wrecked both of his rooms and I'm pretty sure has broad mites on top of his other issues so I won't be getting any clones back from him. Oh well, is what it is, and I sleep better at night with only a few plants in my garage.

Harvest of the left tent went slowly but well, the Goji was a breeze to trim and appeared to be a pretty good producer although it's a bit too early to tell for sure. Only got a couple of pics because frankly everything was too sticky to be messing with the camera or my phone. I'll try to get much better pics for the big harvest, which should actually be next Wednesday if all goes to plan. I was thinking this Sunday might be the day but the big Silver Mountain need closer to another week. It's 71 or 72 days today and the Jabba's Stash in the vert tent is ready (and looking pretty phenomenal, I gotta say -- may have spoken to soon about the Jabba's Stash), so I'm not sure if I want to let it run a little longer and really get ambered up or if I should go ahead and drop that one tonight or tomorrow to make a bit more room for the SM to finish up. Did I mention I hate trimming? I don't exactly have a trim squad, I can recruit a couple of buddies but they're slower than just doing it myself. Hopefully it's an easy trim for the SMs, the one in the horizontal tent definitely was.

Overall I'm disappointed with my performance on the horizontal tent. There was just too much packed into too little a space with not enough light. Also, even though the SM was pushing 5% amber or more, the rest in that tent could have probably gone 10 weeks or even 10.5 and really used it. At the end of the day it just ain't worth the time to run a 400w and I already knew that, so I don't know why I didn't just grab an extra 600w and do it right. Oh well...

Granted, it was an afterthought, so that's an extra half lb or so that I wasn't even expecting, but still... I can do better. The 1000w vert tent is of course the star of the show and the whole point of this thread to begin with, so I think that's where things will shine.

Busy busy, sorry for the lack of updates. I think it's 73 or 74 days today. The Jabba's Stash in the vert tent is done to my liking but in the interest of making sure that it is as stony as possible I'll probably wait until Tuesday to take that one down. It's looking absolutely incredible, and the really funky purple Jabba's Stash pheno that I pulled down from the horizontal tent (one of the really low-yielding ones) smells like one of my favorite strains of all time -- Jager, a clone-only cut out of southern Oregon. So I may have spoken too soon about the Jabbas being kinda weak, we'll see how it all works out. The pic of the dried bud from the aforementioned Jager finished up drying a day early at 6 days and is now in the jars and already smoking well, so looking forward to seeing the cured product in a couple of months.

Wednesday will be 77 days and I think the Silver Mountains should be done by then but I'll reassess on Tuesday. I'll take those as long as I need to and even do a partial harvest and let some lowers run a few days longer if need be, but I need everything in a jar in the next 2 weeks at the latest.

I borrowed my camera from work to try to get some better pics, still learning how this thing works with the macro/close-up shots but it's definitely better than what I was getting with that 10 year old point and shoot POS I've been using...

As for the flower times, normally I go longer than most would for just about anything, as evidenced by the 12-13 weeks that I took some of my last run despite being done at 11. In this case, I recognize that I took the horizontal tent down about 4 days too soon for maximum potential, maybe even a week, but I also knew that as long as it takes me to trim I had to get that tent down asap with my work schedule. Hell, even with a helper on a full 4-hour afternoon of trimming it took me another two 3-hour nights just to get the small tent down at an admittedly leisurely pace. The big tent is going to be cause to actually take a day off from work and dedicate the entire morning and afternoon if I want it done well and in one day. At this rate, it may end up coming down this next weekend instead of Wednesday at 77 days like I had planned...

That Silver Mountain is some good dope y'all. Not counting the considerable amount that I have already smoked (7-10g at least) I ended up with 61g of tops and nice buds and another 16g or so of larf in addition to all the trim, so not a bad yielder at all even with as bad as the horizontal tent was run overall.

With that said, there are some colas on the vert SM plants that will be at least a half ounce each, so I'm really excited to see what I get out of these.

Took down one of the Silver Mountains. Good shit. Decent amount of amber right at 11 weeks. Still could go to 12 probably but unfortunately I need things down sooner rather than later. The Jabba's Stash looks ridiculous but surprisingly has less amber than 2/3 of the Silver Mountains remaining, really odd as they look like they need another week to be at full potential but may be lying. I guess I may just be seeing some lower and out-of-the-light branches with some stress-induced foxtails throwing out new pistils here, but I also think even with my low dosing I still was pushing too much N all the way to the last day on that one. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Trimming continues...sorry for lack of photos and updates, I'm also in the process of trying to diplomatically end a relationship and move out at the same time, all of which is a delicate balance. Quality is looking good, yield probably isn't quite what I wanted (I was really hoping for 30+ oz from the big tent, looking more like 24-26oz). Obviously won't know for sure until it's dry. Pics of at least the dried buds soon, I promise.

First plant to come down from the vertical tent and the smallest Silver Mountain overall in that tent finished drying yesterday and ended up at 185g of tops and what I consider A/A+ buds and 15g of what I would call larf going into the jars, plus an insane amount of close trim...gonna be a ton of bubble y'all.

If that's the smallest Silver Mountain and I still get at least 4 from the Jabba's Stash, I'm going to probably hit my goal of ~32 from the big tent...hell, I won't be surprised if I get 8 dry total from the last plant I hung last night. Really blew my yield estimates out of the water here.

I'm just going to do a photo update at the end of everything before I break down the room and move all my stuff out to my new place. Sorry I haven't kept up very well but it's been an insane month at work and trying to slowly move out of the house you share with your girlfriend while finishing up a run and drying everything and doing it all so she doesn't notice and flip her wig is pretty tough to balance. lol

So the running yield count so far...

Horizontal tent total: ~210g total not counting close to an ounce of larf and a metric shit ton of trim...the numbers are weak as hell, and most of the pot is kinda mediocre by my standards, but the good news is that the pheno of Silver Mountain from the left tent is some of the best pot I have literally ever smoked in my life. Incredibly strong sour lemon flavor that coats the mouth and the smell in the jar is eye-watering lemon floor cleaner with some fuel and something else acrid, maybe bleach like limonene mentioned. I'm hoping that this one I just put in the jars last night from the vert tent is the same pheno because I only yielded 60-something grams from the amazing one and I pulled 3x as much dry from the vert one. The Goji is kinda disappointing overall, I think it would have done better in the vert tent and it needed another week for sure. It's not at all bad pot and it will be much better in a couple of weeks but when it's sitting next to a jar of that first Silver Mountain, it might as well be brick weed. Seriously, if you haven't picked up a pack of the SM and you like a potent and heady but still very mellow and anxiety-free sativa buzz, do yourself a favor.

Vertical tent total so far:

Silver Mountain #2: 200g total - 185g tops and A/A+ buds, 15g "larf" (or what I consider larf, still nice buds), and what would have been at least an ounce dry of quarter-sized or smaller buds that all got thrown in the bubble pile.

Silver Mountain #3: 173g total - 159g tops and A/A+ buds, 14g larf, same story as above with a ton of smaller buds thrown in the bubble pile...these things are yielders for sure.

Jabba's Stash #5: 114g total - 114g tops and A/A+ buds and I just went absolutely nuts with putting anything smaller than a half dollar in the bubble pile, so who knows how much more there was before that. Gonna be some absolutely killer bubble from this one.

So that's a current running total of 487g. Two left hanging, one will go in the jars tomorrow and the other will be finished drying on the 9th or 10th. These are the two biggest ones and I expect that at least the last one I hung will be close to 8oz of the tops and A+ alone. Definitely expect another 400g combined between the two, likely more than that. 30oz has been my kinda hopeful goal but not a serious one since I was working with new strains from seed in a new environment, but it looks like I may meet or possibly even exceed that goal, so that's nice. And like I said, I'll have more bubble than you can shake a damned stick at. Looking like things worked out well.

For the record, I thought the Silver Mountains were going to be all fruit, specifically lime/citrus, but I left the lids off of the jars from the first vertical SM that came down for about fifteen minutes the other day, walked outside, and came back in the house to an incredibly pungent mix of acrid, sweet, and sour permeating through two rooms and three walls. Smells a lot like some of the old Sage n Sour from back in the day and is reminiscent of ECSD in a way even, really great stuff. The less dense stuff has more of the skunky and sour smells going on rather than the intense lemon and lime. All of it looks like really great pot, so I'm happy so far for sure.

I'm still interested in hearing more about the stealth disappearing act.

I've had to do that myself once or twice. Once she starts screaming and threatening, it's time to go.

The long and short of it is that I found out about some improprieties that indicate that she either has been sleeping with somebody else, was planning on it, or was otherwise emotionally engaged with another dude. Here's why it's not that big of a deal: for one thing, I've gone off the reservation a few times myself, and for another thing, we are not a good fit anyways and I've been looking for a clean way to get out for a while. I was worried about her going off the rails and going crazy since this is a small town, even worried about her taking my dog or something because she can be vindictive. But in this case, she knows that I know about the messages that were exchanged, thinks that I believe her that she didn't do anything and that I'm willing to accept her bullshit and try to move on, and I've already signed a lease that begins in the middle of June. I just need to figure out something in between now and then is all. Thankfully, big jars of dank are a great bargaining chip out here in the mountains, so that shouldn't be too hard. Basically this all worked out beautifully, because I can cut things off and let her be the bad guy and carry the guilt even though I may have been a bit scumbaggish a couple of times myself. Win-win!

Awesome bud shots. I ran some Jabba stash crosses that were very nice, and some killer gogi. Bodhi has very nice gear. Had some old mama Ghana x Hindu kush that was potent, but holy cow the man smell and bo smell isn't my cup of tea.

the more of these silver mountain phenos I dig into the more impressed I get...I'm puffing on a joint of #3 right now with absolutely no cure, just barely in a jar, and it's phenomenal. This one is all sweet and sour lime on the nose and looks crazy, I'll try to get some pics soon.

I know this thread is boring now since I haven't posted any pics recently but promise I will soon. Did a nice trim run the other day and ended up with close to an ounce of some seriously top notch bubble. Definitely made me feel better about how much got thrown in that pile that could have otherwise been smoked. Can't wait to dig into a nice mix of 25u and 45u when I get home...
