Looks great man! Loving leds myself. Just curious why you decided to go with the long skinny penetrator models instead of the other sizes?

I call 100% BULLSHIT.

Most of this guyys posts have been touting the "Hydro Grow LEDs" and those of us who have grown with LEDs (myself Blackstars) know that GIANT buds are not grown under LED lights. I wish they were, I spent the money to find out, it just isn't there yet.

IMO this Jack fella (original posted) = owns Hydro Grow LED

Even if those 4 lights did grow those 4-5 plants, at $1300 each, thats a $5000 on lights to get a footprint to cover that many plants. It just doesn't add up when you can cover that same foot print with 1 maybe 2 HPS lights.

Woohoo! Thanks Lucius must mean I am doing something right to convince you into thinking that, lmao. Was beginning to think no one was even watching the grow, hehe

?? Any reason in particular?

Don't listen to the skeptics, you.re doing a great job bro! I've been watching and can't wait to see your harvest. I've grown some fatass nugs myself with leds so Im not calling bullshit here.

Sorry I missed your comment earlier Puff and thanks for stoppin by and checkin shit out mate. I went with the 168x's after talking with the owner of the company on the dimensions of my tent 4'9" x 4'9". Figured they would give me a much more even light distribution vs using 2 of the 336x's.

$6000 worth of lights right there in that tent! Holy shit. 1 HPS on a large Adjust a Wing could cover that same area for around $450.

I guess this is my issue right now with LED. Great that it grows medium sized buds but NOT for people who are doing production and need max weight.

Not only that, once they die you have to throw them in the garbage. LED's are horrendous in bloom. I fell for it at first and learned the hard way

That is not at all true, it just depends on the growers ability to adapt to the differences between LED and HPS, as well as the brand/wattage/diodes, not to mention distance from plant, temp, footprint and all the other usual factors.

There is no such thing as replacement bulbs for LED fixtures. And if you want to come close to competing with HPS in bloom you will have to spend a fortune. At the very least 10x as much money. The energy efficiency angle is also false, you would probably end up using more energy with LED's to compete with the HPS, and a longer bloom time. Good for veg, waste of time and money for bloom.
