Doing the math on paper for General Hydroponics Flora series nutrients was expert add-ons it says so many milliliters per gallon I added it up and and it says micro 82.5 ml grow 110 ml Bloom 27.5 ml root starter 27.5 that's for 11 gallons for just one week between 7 to 10 days then I'm supposed to change out can't it stay in there longer than just 7 to 10 days or am I going to be going through a lot of nutrients for one grow any input would help me make a decision

I used to have small 4 Liter bucket with just air stone, nutes sediment were concentrate at the bottom and make the ph spike daily and needed a weekly res change. I changed for large 20L bins you get at walmart added a good water pump and I don't bother as much if any at all. No root smell, no algee. Also if you keep same water and add nutes, make sure to not overfeed and measure ppm/ec.

Hi @Hatchet72 -- going through nutrietns is just one of your issues when growing RDWC. I like rdwc and have grown this way many times. Over time I re-designed my system again and again, learning how my system was working and how best to run it. For example, at first each plant was in a 17-gallon tote so I had a lot of water in the system. My root balls were huge. Now I use 8-gallon buckets and my system uses way less water. I still get huge root mass.

The feed chart calls for different ratios each week so that means removing last weeks water completely and then re-mixing for the next week. Over time I learned what worked best for my plants and I didn't remix as often. I also use beneficial enzymes, a product called Hydroguard, which protects against root rot and allows the water a longer period before it needs to be dumped.

When it's time to remove the water I dilute it and water the outdoor gardens.

Good luck!
