oh, i forgot to say, if you end up getting a scope, that could help you decide whether to chop or not. if the trichs look mostly clear, you should let it live. if mostly cloudy some amber, then chop.

by the way, learned some great info on smellytreez threads about trichs. there is a misconception about amber trichs... the short of it is, it's actually best to harvest when it's mostly cloudy trichs, and not wait for % amber to increase, because that only means the thc is degrading into cbn, leading to a drousier more confused high.

Yeah, i saw BrickTop's post about thc degradation, too. I been reading some stuff on the web concerning this..and there's tons of info backing up his claims. Seems the only sources of info saying to harvest mostly amber trichs for the "couchlock" stone comes from this site and other forums like it. It seems that some pure strains will produce amber trichs when mature, but most crossbred strains will show a milky color when at peak thc, and will start turning amber in color when its degrading. I see alot of plants on here that look almost dead when guys are waiting on amber trichs. I'm just learning, but I'll take the word of very experienced growers and scientific evidence any day over some urban legend thats gotten passed around over internet forums. :D
