How does 12/1 save power, whats the light doing after that 13 hours? i assume it on again. isn't that the same as doing 24/2. that would use more power than 18/6. And I don't understand the purpose, what problem are you trying to fix, is there something wrong with 18/6? If you want to save power just go 15/9 and it won't go into flower, but then it won't veg as fast so you might as well be on 18/6 or 24/0. Anyway, confused at the reasoning behind this.I was reading an article that talked about using a 12/1 light schedule during veg. It says you only need 13 hours of light (12 on, 5 1/2 off, 1 on, 5 1/2 off) the one hour on in the middle keeps it in veg. Should save a good amount of power and growth is supposed to be great. It also talks about flower at 11 on and decreasing down to 9 on more like nature.
just curious if anyone uses these schedules.
I would diffinately not go from 24hrs to 11 5.5 1 5.5. I would think best results would be obtained from new clones or seedlings started on the schedule.ya im going to take my clones off 24 now...
I can flower with 16/8 after 24/0 and 72 dark and this new system requires a multi stage timer maybe out of ur realm of abilities or understanding its for people that have open minds and don't already think they know everything when real don't know shit. How does 12/1 save power, whats the light doing after that 13 hours? i assume it on again. isn't that the same as doing 24/2. that would use more power than 18/6. The only thing I can think of is that since some people think 24/0 doesn't give time for the plant to rest, its basically a 24 hr light cycle with a short rest period every 12 hours so the light is on max time but you still get the rest.
Good to know that , wont try that until a new start .I would diffinately not go from 24hrs to 11 5.5 1 5.5. I would think best results would be obtained from new clones or seedlings started on the schedule.
sounds like a good way to make a male!I was reading an article that talked about using a 12/1 light schedule during veg. Lol I was thinking that... what nature has an hour of light during the dark (moonlights not that bright even) but hey it worksits funny that you say your trying to mimic nature with the 12 5.5 1 5.5 schedule.
what planet are you on??
no, all needed plant functions are done in c3 plants regardless of light cycle.my question is why in the hell would anyone run 24/0? do you not realize that without the down time your plant cant turn any of that glocose into starch and in under a week you've completely exhausted it's built up energy.
