Okay explain to me the 12/12 daylight. I went and got the daylength for my area. So what is the effect of the daylight on plants. Will a plant only go to finish if it has certain daylengths. My daylengths both early and late are deep into frost times. On the early side I can grow inside, but with going outside nothing can be done at fall. The plants I am going to grow are Northern Lights, Sweet Dreams, and Sweet Tooth, plus OH!zone. These are all short maturities. Thanks in advance. Grow Happy and have fun.

So wait, whats your question? 12/12 light cycle to flower, and 18/6 for veg. Are you saying that you are starting you seeds indoors, then moving them outdoors, but you're worried that when they should be finishing outside the natural light cycle won't be 12/12? If that is your situation, maybe use an autoflower strain, because they are not dependent of the light cycle to flower.

Every strain is different and most hybrids will bloom well before 12/12. 16/8 even.
Dr Greenthumbs Early Iranian even less darkness.
some people force flowering by covering their plants to simulate night.
