12/12 From Seed DWC Grow Journal

So today I put the seeds in the towel.. All from DinaFem, all fem seeds obviously.

2x Critical+
2x White Siberian
1x UK Cheese
1x Super Silver Haze

Going into rockwool in my stealth CFL seedling cabinet as soon as they pop. After a week they will go into the flower chamber under the 400w HPS. Planning to use 6 5 gal. DWC buckets.

48 Hour update. 5/6 have germed. All but the cheese, but it looks bulging/puffy on the ends so I think it's about to break through. 2 must have germed within hourse because the roots were an inch long. The others were 1/4 to 1/2 inch. All into 5.5 rinsed AOK rockwool plugs on top of a little hydroton in party cups covered with saran wrap. Tonight I'll turn on at least 2 of the CFLs for their first 12/12 light cycle. Hopefully their friend will be able to join by tomorrow. If not, he gets replaced. Hope I don't end up with 7 plants!

Sorry no photo. I'll get some up when all 6 are in place and show off my slick printer stand seedling chamber.

Update for 8/3:

All 6 original seeds (at least I think original seeds... you see, there was this time when I dropped a seed and it took me 15 minutes to find it. I'm 99% sure it was the right one, there are no other seeds in the grow space. Either way it hadn't germed for 48 hours, then after being dropped, cleaned and resoaked in a towel it too) germed. Unfortunately I had taken the precaution of non-viable seeds and started trying to germ the ugliest worst White Siberian seed I had. I figured I had low chances on both, so maybe odds were I'd get one. Well. I got 7. The tiny deformed seed sprouted today. Checked it tonight and the taproot was an inch long. Into rockwool surrounded by hydroton in a party cup it went.

I have a real estate appraiser coming monday so I can't install my bubble buckets until then. I guess I'll take the best 6 and flower them. I may just trim the 7th bonsai style and flower it in the CFL chamber. Let's see what 100W of CFL can REALLY do lol. It would have to be 12" tall and 24" square. You'll see.

My old printer stand.. looks harmless enough. It holds junk now.

Junk like:

Some 6" duct, a $6 4" desk fan from wal mart shoved and taped into the end = cheap and easy exhaust.

The wiring leads to a single cord that plugs into a digital timer set to 12/12.

This is where I am now. 5 of hese are about 1-2 days out of the towel and into the rockwool. One was planted late last night and one today.

Oh and I have 6 buckets.. maybe hempy the 7th if I can't find a home for it.. or kill it.

Update 8/8:

Pics from a couple of days ago I think, maybe yesterday. Still in rockwool, supported by hydroton. The 7th seedling which germmed like 5 days late is catching up, the cheese which was 2 days late germming, has caught up to the original criticals and white sibs.. the ssh is doing great I think too. 3rd sets of leaves are coming in.. and they have been under 12/12 since going into rockwool a week ago.

Not sure when they will be big enough to put into the 5 gal DWCs. Hopefully one day this week. I can see some roots coming out of the sides of the rockwool on the oldest plant. Likely will get everything set up this week and see what happens!

How do expect 6 plants to fit in ur little drawer..What are ur dimensions? becuz it looks awfully short..Ur gonna need 2.5-3ft in hieght for those photoperiod u should have gotten some autos that stay under 15 inches tall...U might wanna get those transplnated soon also as u have the cup 1/4 full..JMO GL

I have a 2x5x8 closet with a 400W HPS for flowering. That's just my printer stand stealth cabinet for seedlings.

OHHH my bad bro i either missed that part or u didnt say, but thats good to hear i have 5 plants in a 4.5x2.5x5.0(LxWxH) And they r outgrowing my space bigtime...I've had to pinch the colas twice now in the last week cuz the fuckers perk right back up like nothing happened lol...2 Industrial Plants(DF), 1 California Hash Plant(DF), 2 K-Train(GH)..2 weeks into flowering but only budding for 5 days transition period and they have doubled in size like atleast an inch a day..Good Luck bro and ur well on ur way..

Yeah, that's why I'm doing 12/12 from seed. I need to keep heights manageable. I just had to dump a soil grow because I vegged for weeks and they went from 1' tall to 2-3' feet tall in 2 weeks. Now they are outside and can do whatever they want! My height is probably 5 foot as well when I count in the hanging apparatus and hangers and everything.

I''ll update again in a couple of days once I finish building my buckets.
