12/12 from seed DWC

This will be my first attempt at DWC.

The Equipment::
5 regular bag seeds
2 Decent Aquarium Air Pumps
2 10" Bubble Stones
5 gallon bucket with 5 net pot sites
200 watts of CFL's Somewhere around almost 9-10 thousand lumens
Book shelf converted to a grow box.
Clonex Clone and Seedling Nutrient for 2-3 weeks
Fox Farms Tiger bloom
Dutch masters reverse/penetrator (if needed)

The seeds cracked on 8/9/11 and were then moved to hydroton from a paper towel and today 5 happy sets of very green cotyledons have emerged, bubbling away. I've also proved those wrong who say you can't sprout a seed in hydroton. You just have to make a small hole or crack in the center of the hydroton grown medium and insert the taproot right down into it. The seedling will right itself and the roots will take hold.

Heres some pics of my setup during the dark cycle under green light, probably cant see the seedlings though.

Bring on the criticism for having 5 plants in one bucket but i don't mind, they'll show in 3 weeks and the males will be removed leaving me with more room anyhow. I once got 3/4 females on a 12/12 from seed so im going into this pretty optimistic.

Check out my journal from time to time, happy growing:leaf:

Something awesome happened last night and its going to revamp this grow a little :). Was breakin down some kryptonite about to smoke a bowl and out pops a seed.. which hopefully is femenized by a hermie because where i get this, i don't think there's male plants around..

So i popped that baby into a paper towel and she looks like shes about to crack. And coincedently, one of my seedlings didn't make it (and another was a twin which was odd, never happened to me before), so once she cracks ill just replace it. Male or female, idc i hope the seed survives so i can breed kryptonite, a strain of OG kush into my own stuff.

No more pics yet but the growth seems to be going well. They're all very green and really sprouting up, both cotyledons out for the first time. So things are going in my favor so far.

By the way.. anyone ever get 2 seedlings out of one seed before like I did? I'm curious of survival rates and how well they grow.

Still curious if anyone knows that..

Well today is a good day, the Kryptonite seed cracked and i put it in the net pot with a little partial humidity dome. I took great care, hopefully it sprouts into a healthy plant.
No more pics yet til the end of week 1 but the 3 healthiest seedlings are about a half an inch tall and one seems to be struggling but i think itll come around. And the last one i pulled of course for the Kryptonite to go in its place. Pics in a few days.

Just after one week from seed, except for the smallest, Kryptonite sprout is 3-4 days old. And a lemon kush seed i acquired is sprouting in the empty pot.
This is the fastest and healthiest growth i have ever seen, i will never go back to soil. PH has stayed great so far too.

Hey an idea for you. Saw a guy compartmentalize his res by making mesh/net walls in there. Was pretty neat, and kept the roots to each individual plant so they didn't bind. Some food for thought. Good luck!
