12/12 from seed in hempy buckets?

Hello everyone. I am going to try 12/12 from seed for the 1st time. I plan on growing in soil in 2 gallon pots. I was wanting to know if you can grow 12/12 from seed in hempy buckets? If so, what size buckets and would 100% perlite work? Is it better to just stick with soil since its 12/12 from seed?

There is a hempy thread. Maybe ask there...

I can't see why it wouldn't work. I have been told you can do hempy with a few inches of soil on top.

I have done 12/12 FS for four year. Part of the way you do it to get size is thru transplanting. Solo cup to 3/4 gal to 1 1/2 to 3 gallon final pot. I don't know about transplanting perlite. I suppose you could just do the whole thing in the two gal hempy. Try it and see! .......rw

Interesting.. How long to they stay in the solo cup and 1.5 gallon?

A couple of weeks in solo. Up to week 5 from start of seed, usually about time they are sexed! The transplanting cause plants to explode out of the pots to get size!.....rw

Sure you can. 2 or 3 gallon is fine for that. I did 2 in a 3 gallon. 100% perlite is fine. Try Lucas formula along with that and it's the easiest growing you'll ever do.

Hey to clarify ur saying you've done 12/12 from seed with transplanting the key, but ur talking soil? OP also asked about 12/12 from seed in hempy too so just want to clarify

Yes soil! IDK about the hempy bucket, but I know people who did good just starting and finishing in 3gal pot. 12/12 fs is very strain related. Some strains don't get any size. Sativa do well..........rw
