I personally think we should have till Wednesday to post "beans in Cup", SO by Thursday Morning, All cups should be pic'd and posted. Thus the "official" start of the contest.

Drop em, they'll be fine, mine wont crack and will go in after 24hr soak. It is optimal timing (best time in october at least) with lunar cycles if you believe in that sort of thing.

I do believe that sorta thing.
I don't have a problem with starting weds, Thursday, etc., but there's others ready and wanting to get rolling.
Your beans will crack and germ in the cup, same as they would in any other place, that is if they're going too.
Mine are soaking right now as well, they'll be put in cups this eve, will post pics tonight.

What is the word we need to have handwritten in pic?
Edit, I guess one could interpret the rules so they could start germination any time, the only thing I see required is the pic of a seed in a cup, nothing about taking it back out. Your comp your choice opie.

i just know my beans, some crack, some dont, so if i do 4 cups and none crack, then im ass out from the door. if your confident they will crack, then start, I just dont roll like that and throw them in the medium hoping they crack is all im saying. 3 days wont make a huge difference, as long as they ARE IN THE GERMINATION PROCESS BY TODAY, and in the cups by Thursday 00:00, then all should be good. If your confident, cup them and post your proofs, i just know, mine wont be good till tomorrow at the earliest. I was under the impression, we kicked things off Sunday, or i would have started them Thursday, but i figured that was cheating in jumpstarting the contest before the official start date.

I was going to pre soak the seed but therrd no harm in dropping it straight into the cup now. Technically the seed would be planted in the cup and therefore qualify but we'll see what y'all think . Gonna plant it anyway right now. Gonna use my own personal seed from some aurora indica. I have a few to spare so it works for something like this

I’m running legend og crinkle x dessert breath northern lights and purple urkle x train wreck I’m using the 16 oz cup and put 5 holes in bottom and slipped them into another cup to catch runoff I can’t find a tray small enough for each individual cup so this will have to do I have my name and date as well as them numbered the date is on the back side I’ll also be throwing these into my tent once the lights turn on so yeppers let’s get this bitch crackin!

Sounds like many of us are using our own crosses and chucks for this, so should be real interisting to see what pops.

oh no doubt SSGrower, i agree. Not many in it anyways, but should be a fun shot-out. Im usually a 12/12 from seed anyways, ( not my shipwreck tho, lol,) i plan to scrog it, clone it, and fem seed it. well, of course, if its a female, and if not, i will polly my FireOG cross i created.

No worries brother thanks for hosting lights are on and I fucked up it’s not northern lights it’s a g-tang grapes 13 cross from ESO Seeds a Rollie pollie on chuckers paradise thread here’s your pic and proof my lights are on good luck to all who participate!
