Hi! my plant is growing too slowly, as i started used to light it 12/12 ... for maybe 3 weeks.
Now i want to switch to 18/6 can the plant respond badly ? I light with 125w ecolite.
Thanks

does it have any flowers on it yet?..also why 12/12 from seed..i normally do that to keep the plant tiny..ie micro grow.if it doesn't have buds on it yet then its still safe.

little bewildered on the 12/12 thing. if you dont switch you f*ed and it will flower. theres not much of a choice there

Why would you switch. Kick back man and let her grow. She bot gona become a big plant over night, wait afews and then give her some nutes and then when she starts to show flowering give her some flowering nutes. These things take time bro, be patient and let her grow. Keep it up 12/12 don't mess with her. Get 2 fans and keep them oscillating and wait bro. Get a hygo-thermometer and keep the temp between 75-85 f. And humidity around 65%. That's all you can do. But don't switch back to 18/6. PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE!!!

you can switch up to 18/6, but you are going to put the plant under stress telling it to switch to the veg cycle...increasing grow times, then you have to switch it back to 12/12 and wait again for the flowering period to restart...If you want your plants to finish in the next 1.5-2months then keep it at 12/12, yes you will have a lower yield, but in the long run is it really worth extending your growing period out to 4 months for probably a 20-25% gain in yield due to stress?

I'd just finish this cycle out, then next go around go 18/6 for 2-3 weeks from the start, then flip to 12/12 :)

Get some more light and that will help. 125 watts is not enough, IMHO.

Also, stressing the plant by switching light cycles might cause it to hermie on you.

My bad to bring up an old forum, but I was growing from 12/12 from seed n switched it to 18/6 the other day. Now the stem is red, the bottom 2 leaves are yellow, do I switch back ?
