OK I'll post more pics when the light comes on but both plants popped at the same time and had the same length of tap root when planted it was just slow growing until it started to flower then it stretched just testing the theory of 12/12 plus wonted a quick harvest
Most likelygenetic variation is the culprit

Right? I'm pretty sure my girls are both girl scout cookie, but one leaned more towards it's og kush ancestorage with a short husk and fat, bushy leaves while the other has more of the durban poison genes which are apparent by the greater height of the plant and the hybrid-looking leaves. Just like a human brother and sister may be fully related but look nothing like eachother, so gene distribution may allow different dominant and recessive genes to exist in sibling plants.
Gsc are known to be unstable all the gsc seeds I've grown gave me a different pheno

I don't do hydro anymore but when I did I had similar issues. One half of my DWC was growing vibrantly while the other side kind of lagged behind. I found later that my airstones were not being supplied the same amount of O2. I also found the cause was airlines that were clogged up with bacteria. Not saying you have an issue with bacteria but your problem could surely be caused by faulty airstones or inadequate airflow. It is equally possible that your pump is not keeping up or that one plant is getting more light exposure than the other. I seriously doubt it is related to strain; its more likely that one plants is getting more light and/or O2 than the other -both of which can drive faster growth.
20151114_094126.jpg there are two different strains here 5 blue og and the rest are deep cheese x bay dream the only other different is age the plants are under 14/10 light schedule does this help answer your question you can clearly distinguish the two different strains
