12/12 from seed

I am going to do 12/12 from seeds. with 30 seeds.

I did a search but came up with nothing. Can anyone link me with some threads of 12/12 from seed?

12/12 the whole grow....

its better to start with more like 24 hrs on than 12/12 i dont think they will get enough light

how long after 24 should I wait to switch to 12/12 from seed? Average?

Canabis need to realize the transition from summer to fall in order to start the budding process. The height of your plants will determine the size of the colas on top. The longer a plant can get the bigger and fatter the buds will get. Of course depending on lighting (type and power) availability of nutrients, pH. etc. If I were U not that would be any sane advice I would put them under 24 hours of light for the first 2 weeks. Switch to 18 on and 6 off. They should be about 10 inches or better tall.Then switch to the 12 on 12 off for flowering if over 12 inches tall. Now some of your 30 plants will turn out to be males. Get rid of em so they dont polinate. From then on, Sativas will flower much longer than Indicas. Hollar for more info if you need. Luck with that grow.

You will find many on here who will tell you all the negatives of going 12/12 from seed. With that said I did a few weeks of reading on here before I started my first grow and it is from seed using the 12/12 method. If you search around the indoor grow forum, there is someone on here who shows a 12/12 grow from seed in sixteen ounce cups. Sorry but I forget who it is. In his pics it pretty much cut out the vegatative state and the plants were basically buds.

I started with regular old fluorescents and after a week switched over to a t5 fixture. The difference has been amazing. With the old fluorescents they were stretching a bit but with the t5 they are now becoming little bushes.

Just remember, this is one great big ongoing experiment and if don't like your results, do something different next time. Enjoy your grow, I'm enjoying watching my babies turn into young ladies.

12/12 works ok, but some strains can take a while to show sex. My Ice Cream took 6 weeks.

My tip of the day if you do a 12/12 is to have about 10% 6400K light along with the flower lights. All my previous grows have been under 2700K, but the leaves are very light in colour and drop off early in the flowering stage, so the plants don't get as much use from them as they could. The addition of the 6400K light has made a big difference to the colour of the leaves and should translate into better yields. I'll let you know

Can't find any links for you but the best thread I saw on the subject was Hal's 12/12 thread on the icmag forum.

I had a thread about a week or so ago asing the same thing... Can it be done, I had 3 different people tel me and show pictures of their grow's from sedd going straight to 12/12. they say they only got an oz Dry weight when said in done. so if you wanna wait out the extra 4 or 5 weeks veg, go for it up if not it can be done throwing them right into flowering

Have the lights on 24/0 for either a week or until all of the plants sprout, which ever one comes first...

dont let people put you off 12-12 from seed, most who do havent even tried with good genetics an oz dry is poss in 8.5 weeks,
most of mine are 12-12 and nowthats all im doing

You can switch in 1 month from seed.You'll have more success with strains that stretch alot during flower.himalayan gold,mango,sativas...Add some more examples if you want,RIUM's.

i was thinking of doing this im glad you done this thread. im up for trying both defantly autoflowering plants would be fine

I was thinking instead of raising 4 big plants and veg for 1 month. I was going to start 30 seeds and put them in Flower. I dont have a lot of head room but I have quite a bit of width room.

So I have some plants that havent long broken soil, for the first 2 days I had them on 18/6 then switched to 12/12, im not sure if I should have switched so quickly, its only been one day but would it be worth switching back to 18/6 for a week or two?

the strains are SSH, Haze #1 & Nevilles Haze, I dont have too much height and these bad boys are known for growing tall which turned me towards this method of growing.

if your patient, a cheeky 3-4 weeks veg will yield a lot more than 12/12 from seed.

DON'T do 12/12 with autoflowering plants. For best results do 20/4 throughout the whole grow

I hadn't heard of 12/12 from seed before. This is interesting
