12/12 from seed?

I have a 29" tall cabinet but with my light and pot ill only have around 14" for the plants and either want to do 12/12 from seed or do a autoflower strain what would you suggest? if i do 12/12 from seed what size pots should i use does 1 gallon seem ok? and also how tall will an indica strain get using 12/12 from seed

each one is different thats a impossible question however 12 12 from seed will result in the shorter plants desired

That is strain and environment dependent too !
Some ppl only get a few grams, others get a few ounces.
My 3 TGA JillyBeans look at least 1.5 - 2 ounces each, but they are 20", 25" and 27" tall too.
Topped once at the 2nd node on day 14 from seed, when they had 5 nodes.

using 300w dual spectrum CFL and if they get to tall im gonna LST, if its mostly indica it shouldnt reach more than 15" right using bio bizz all mix if that matters

I just need to know if i lst a bit and 12/12 from seed will it still exeed 15 inches i wanna grow kandy kush which is mostly indica?

If you have the length and width, you can LST any plant !
Look at my Ultimate Chem in my "1st DWC" thread.
I had to pinch and bend the shit out of those 3 girls, and they STILL ended up 3ft tall ! lmao
Even snapped a couple of branches, but they healed up just fine.

do they still veg when doing 12/12 from seed then? i really need to keep them about 15 inches maybe could get about 18 inches max is ultimate chem sativa or indica dominent? oh and hydro usually makes plants a lot bigger ive heard

ALL 12/12 from seed plants veg the first 3 - 4 weeks before Bloom kicks in.
Most ppl dont' understand this part and think it's in Bloom the whole time b/c of the 12/12 lighting.
My Chem is Sativa dom, plus I lollipopped during the stretch, which made them stretch even more.
And yes, hydro is known for bigger yields while most argue that soil taste better though.
But if done right, you won't be able to tell the difference in taste !!

Well for my first grow hydro seems a bit to difficult and what are the advantages of 12/12 from seed apart from it will obviously save on my electricity bill :D how strong will the odour be for 3 plants without a carbon scrubber could i mask using air freshener and maybe put some scented dryer sheets over the exhaust

Having done both hydro and soilless, hydro is easier and cleaner IMO.
12/12 gives you a few advantages :
Quicker harvest, sometimes
Some dank to harvest and smoke sooner, while you can clone the plant around weeks 2 - 4 from seed.
You get an idea of what to maybe expect, especially if you have lots of seeds that you made from crossing your own plants.
Less electricity used = more money to keep

Too many variables to say what the odor will be in your situation.
I recently thought about the dryer sheets too ! lmao
Don't know how long the scent will last though.

hydro is more expensice with the PPM meters and such, im sure you will have a argument on this :P oh and what does lolipopping do does it increase yeild?

No argument on the meter b/c it's a MUST regardless of how you grow ! lol
Whether hydro or soil/soilless, you need to know what and how much you are feeding them since they depend on you for food.

Lollipopping gets rid of plant material/ popcorn buds that will be a waste of time and energy by the plant due to the plant being taller than what your light can effectively penetrate or b/c the canopy will simply block the light.
Increase in yield ?
I'd like to think so, or at least no popcorn buds but all dank buds and colas instead.
Bigger buds and colas that got adequate light !

Hmm so i need a ppm meter for soil? if so i would consider hydro or maybe coco (may be hard emptying res as im doing a stealth grow) and i read somewhere that topping doesnt increase yeild that it just splits the main cola into 4 small colas

You need a ppm and ph meter no matter how you decide to grow.

Topping DOES increase yield because you create more bud sites and open up more of the plant to the light.

my last grow was 2 la confidentials 12/12 from seed with a 70 watt hps,fox farm ocean forest,in one gallon pots. they never got over 12 inches tall.thats with no lst or topping.i just let them grow.yield was 1 oz dried. good luck to you ,and happy growing.

1 oz from both plants? sounds okay for personal use how was the odour and what did you use for odour control?

can i use a PPM meter that rates 0-1999 and use those cheap PH strips?
