12/12 from seed!!!

how many plants can i do under 8 23w CFL's with 12/12 from seed?
someone with 12/12 from seed experience plz reply..
it was said on ICMAG.com that one guy got 1g per watt..
my goal is around an ounce or so of good smoke from this

ive got a shed to myself but im not trying to use the whole thing, so maybe 3' high,2'deep, and about 2' long..
im hoping around 4-5 plants, then get (hoping) 3 females...

if you do the 12/12 from seed I would do 2 lights per plant. So 4 with you set up. A good grow with those lights will give about 40 gram for each of the 4 plant. Some strains more or some less. The total grow time will be about 2 mounts and your plants will be about 12" at harvest if from seed a little more if you use clones.

well im going to be using those multi-outlet plug strips and have the CFL's in there.. so how can i make it 2 lights per plant?
im trying to get around an oz.-2oz's from this, just for fun and personal stash, its going to be bagseed, im going to actually wait till they are about 3'' then flower....
around 4 weeks flower i might add a 70w HPS if my friend lets me borrow it :mrgreen:
its going to be like a mini SOG.. any advise you can give me on this 12/12 from seed???

use something like my pic. it's a clip light and i put a y spliter fo 2 bulbs with it. then i put 2 26w cfls in it.

there are other light set ups in the link in my signature.

with 4 plants thats about 120 grams or is it like 28ish grams/oz. about 4oz

oh if you add the 70 watt you may get 50 to 70 more grams. it depends on when you add. If you already have it and it's not being used throw it in now. the sooner the higher yeld

can you really pull 40 grams dried from a 12/12 from seed cfl grow? I don't think so .... but I could be wrong....have you done this? that would be impressive :blsmoke:

The rule of thumb is 1 gram per watt of light on a 12/12 grow. A lot of stuff can effect it.

dude...When used properly, CFL lighting provides an estimated 0.3 grams per watt. Compared to the 1 gram per watt that HPS provides it just doesn't stack up. sorry bro. I just harvested a plant today that was 74 grams under a 150 watt hps. your math is off a bit.

there is a lot of factors that why it a rule of thumb.

strain
light type
nuts
reflector
soils

are just a few. 1 gram per watt is still a good target.

74 gram is about 1 gram per two watts on your grow. It's still nice for a quick 12/12 grow.

alright im going to get those clamp reflectors, and 8 2700k 23w CFL;s, gunna do 4 plants, 1 week old seedling then flower, my friends using the 70w hps, hes bout 5 weeks into flower when hes done i get it back.
or should i just go to e-conolight.com and get the vapor seal 150w HPS for only 30 bucks????

My 12/12 plant under cfl's dont look bad at all the buds are not airy what buds there are most of the plant is just a big stick of bud but iv'e got sixteen 23 watters in there and four floro tubes.I don't think HPS would have been a big help since the top is a cunt hair away from falling over from bud weight to begin with,iv'e still got at least 3 weeks to go so im not sure she is going to make it with her head intact.:joint:

well i can go buy all the shit for cfl's, or buy a complete 150w HPS system for $30 brand new and shipped, will i need for than a big fan for circulation???
and if i use the 150w how many plants could i do 12/12 from seed?

I dunno man...but get the 150 and no you dont need a blower...the 150 isnt that hot...I just blow a fan at mine and it's just fine. you will be much happier come harvest if you buy better lighting.:joint:
