Hey im currently just running one fem.
I started it out on 12/12 FS then when it showed sex (I read lemon kush can show a male 1/20 times) is a lady. So after it showed pistils I put it back on 24/0 and it seems too not have skipped a beat. And im not witnessing any of the typical reveg signs (weird growth/stunt) so my . Question is will I see any reveg signs or was it too early in 12/12 that it wasnt actually flowering? Sorry im not exactly sure how to ask the question

It really shouldn't skip a beat as if you didn't know mature plants in veg will show preflowers so vegging it right after first sign of pistils shouldn't hurt but strains are different and some flower faster than others so some will show reveg traits if put back in veg and some won't.

Thank you! I was kinda thinking that but wasnt sure.

".how long for a 12/12 fs that showed sex? How long to reveg"

Once a plant has actually started flowering at 12/12 it takes a while for the vegging process to kick in. I'm thinking you should start to see new vegetation after 10-14 days. That's my best guess.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Guess I'm not sure of the ? either. But if you force a plant to show sex by cutting the light down, then revert to a veg program, it will take it a while to stabilize and get back to growing in a veg state. Like 3 weeks in my experience, even then it's a little goofy.

IMO it stunts the plant, makes the new growth w/short internodes (good!). Adds at least month to the process between sexing and reverting them, but well worth it to avoid wasting time growing males.

Peace - AIM

Ok, I would like to know the source of that information about 1/20 Lemon Kush being male. As a Plant Pathologist, I can tell you that that number is way too high for that type of variation. Maybe 1/100000000000000000000000000000000 a.k.a. once in a million years would be more like it. ALSO, the more likely culprit is that there is an actual flowering male in the vicinity that let some pollen loose. I would imagine HSO, with them being seed breeders, there are plenty males around. If it selfed, or crossed with another female plant, there is ABSOLUTELY NO SCIENTIFIC WAY that you will end of with a male seed. The male chromosome is not there. Cool?

And if you do end up with a male plant, it is probably a HSO cross, and you should grow it, and cross the pollen with a female, because you probably have some good genetics in there.

As far as revegging, in my experience, i have revegged at all stages, beginning of flowering, middle, and end, and they all take about 3 weeks to get decent growth back. I have revegged this Trainwreck X Purple Mayhem around 9 times so far, and i have had no issues, except for crazy growth i have to prune and train more. I always trim the rootball by 2/3 before i repot it and put it back into 24/0.

For the ones in earlier flowering, I don't experience any crazy growth, just goes back to veg.

Bro what you say is supposed to be true but I have heard of many fem lines producing males then they sale them as reg seed. Peyote Purple is supposed to be an s1 of Bubba but a male shows up in the line from time to time. Dankonomics has a Banana Kush line that was fem but males are showing. If it's consistently doing this then it's defying science. I agree with you on the reveg and I think you said it better than me as I was talking about very early flowering plants

Yeah i can dig it, its hard to argue whats right in front of your eyes. So I am working on my second masters right now, and I just asked my major PHd professor (he knows and i grow and smoke weed, he now buys an 1/8th every month from me), and he said highly highly highly improbable for all these lines to turn male like that. He said that in his opinion its just "sloppy gardening" by the seed makers, and they are letting male pollen get everywhere. And instead of taking care to not get it into the female room, they just pass it off as feminized seeds. He also added, that is very common in basil/mint/balm seed makers. All of these plants belong to the mint family, and they are highly promiscuous, meaning they readily cross with each other. When you grow grow these from seed you are bound to eventually get some lemon thai basil X Chocolate Mint cross or something like that.

alright good info in your post brotha. but i was more so trying to figure out why the plant never grew the crazy one bladed leaves. do you think its because it was just showing sex wasnt actually... budding.?

Well, I think that it is a hormonal thing, you see plants begin to make hormones at different stages of life signalling them to change something. Like first set of hormones puts out the cotyledons, next puts out true leaves, first 3, then 5, some seven, and so on. So my best educated guess is that it starts over its hormone cycle, and so since you never really got into the flowering stage, it didnt completely go through a hormone shift.
